@@bei6768 Making one of the emotion into a villain would defeat the message of the movie: Every emotion is important and useful in its own way. She could’ve been an antagonist, but never villain because every emotion wants what’s good for Riley in their own way.

What im saying is, envy is a great aggressive emotion- basically like jealousy. It wouldve been great to see that emotion act all selfish and mean. No they are not. They’re similar but not the same. Jealousy is resentful and hostile towards people who has something they don’t. While Envy is simply the longing to have something they don’t have while someone else does, mixed with a bit of admiration towards that person.

We need to remember the message of both movies. There are no positive or negative emotions. Every emotion is important, they just need to be under control. Even too much of a positive emotion can have negative effects. No emotion will ever be a villain. A antagonist perhaps, but they all want what’s best for Riley. As for Envy, I don’t think we need to worry too much about her. Since turning her into a villain would defeat the message of the movie.

Ok what about this, anxiety turns to panic, envy turns into jealousy, ennui turns into depression, embarrassment turns into shame, and joy turns into love leaving fear, sadness, anger, and disgust as unwavering emotions or maybe those emotions are already in there heightened state and they could become lesser emotions like fear into nervous, sadness into melancholy, anger into annoyance, and disgust into aversion

I don't think disney would touch it, but I'd love it if the movie gave us a moment to talk about neurodivergent conditions. Maybe show us a scene of the manuals explaining what a person with D.I.D might exerpience, or Anxiety Disorder, or Autism. These conditions change the way you process, and experience your emotions, and many children, and adults know someone who has one of these and maybe don't know how to interact with that person. I would love it if Riley maybe had a classmate who was special needs and she had to help them navigate an emotion that was taking center stage when it shouldn't, but alas I don't think we'll get that.

It's going to be Anxiety, as she's shown to be in control of the control pane in HQ(it's orange), she has Embarrassment removes the Core Five, and a clip in the trailer had her welling some mind workers that 'Project New Riley can begin'.

@@kev-vr1yk Honestly, I wouldn't even need the trailer to guess. Ennui, Embarrassment, and Envy are all reactionary emotions, they need something to happen first before they can do something, just like Fear, Disgust, Anger, or Sadness would. On the other hand, Anxiety is a causal emotion like Joy. It can happen at any time, and sometimes be the cause of other emotions triggering. That's why I'm sure she's the villain for the film like Joy technically was for the first. Another reason is because Anxiety is an emotion that... literally everyone is taught ways to ignore or suppress as it holds no positives and only holds you back through fear and worry

Riley’s parents could have a baby and she slowly realize how much time she was spending with her parents are over. Hence why joy or love could feel absent in her emotions until she learns her parents still love her. They could still add a best friend role or a possible love interest that her friend asked out first. Hence envy has a change big enough for jealousy
