How the Dalek AI Works in City of the Daleks (Doctor Who Adventure Games)

City of the Daleks is one of the Doctor Who Adventure Games, the first in a five-part series of games set during the 11th Doctor's era, mostly during Series 5. It is a followup to Victory of the Daleks, where we get to see what the Paradigm Daleks got up to after their episode in a way the TV series never showed. For Paradigm Dalek apologists, it is a precious window into what it would have been like if the series had not listened to the backlash and instead gone ahead with the redesign.
As far as I'm aware, these games have never had any meaningful under-the-hood analysis done for them, at least not one that has been published online. Much of the insight in this video is stuff that no one apart from the game developers have ever known about, finally made public knowledge for anybody to enjoy.

I actually love playing this game, it's a rare case of a Doctor Who game actually being fun! I'd love it if you keep making videos about digging through the code of this game and finding secrets and cut content, its actually a really cool idea, and I haven't seen many people do it.

We find out what the eternal dalek role is in big finishes victory of the Doctor it isn’t as cool as we’ve theorised through the years it’s basically just an archivist analysing dalek history to ensure the victory of the daleks

@@jcrossan1351 That’s a shame, I always preferred to think of it as being responsible for time travel stuff. ‘Eternal’ - ‘Eternity’ - ‘Time’, you know. I also think it would have been cool if it had stayed completely quiet, mysteriously doing its thing without any dialogue, but I have to imagine for an audio drama they couldn’t exactly do that.
