You know technically what Kirk did here is great...he presented purpose of the federation in a way that they'd understand.

I love Shatner's acting in TOS. One of my favorite aspects of the show. And I like Kirk. He's a great leader. TOS movies are also great. Even Final Frontier which is kinda bad, but I still like it!
@RaikenXion3 жыл бұрын
Yeh i kinda like Final Frontier too, it's the chemistry between those guys that makes that particular Trek movie watchable. Heres a pointless fact i'll share with you, in Final Frontier, the part where Kirk get attacked by the ThunderCat lady, the sound she makes before he picks her up and throws her is James Brown's "waaahh!" from the start of his "I feel Good" song.

TOS always had these silly episodes where everybody was a gangster, an entire planet of gangsters, or maybe romans, whatever. Though in fairness, Stargate SG1 did it too, like with that planet where the resident Goa'uld masqueraded as the devil, and the entire population was made up of medieval Christians.

he came back later to collect his cut. that's how he had enough money to buy a house (since starfleet never paid him money) . a private house with acres of land around it is extremely expensive on Earth since its population is nearly one trillion at that time
@tonywebster85825 жыл бұрын
@@MajorGrin Extremely expensive? How about on planets that 400 trillion people? Is land expensive there?
@richardched60854 жыл бұрын
@@MajorGrin i doubt it was a trillion lol. It was in the Billions range as of 2154 as Archer said he was trying to prevent the deaths of "Billions of people" at the hands of the Xindi Superweapon. With a thousand planets and Colonies it might not be necessary to have more than 10 Billion on the planet.
@TheManWithTheFlan3 жыл бұрын
@@MajorGrin It's pretty unlikely that the Earth would be that heavily populated. The Eugenics wars had casualties around 30-40 million, and then WWIII had further casualties casualties of six hundred million and destroyed most of the world's major cities and left the planet irradiated, and then the planet rapidly re-industrialized and redeveloped with Vulcan aid, meaning that there was probably a baby boom followed by a rapid normalization of birthrates. Not to mention, with that redevelopment and the ability to replicate food on a major scale, it's very likely that much of the land outside of city centers was made available as it was no longer needed for agriculture. It's very possible that land outside urban areas is relatively cheap, or may not even need to be purchased at all, with ownership being determined by possession and use rather than title deed.
