Under-appreciated movie. It’s a real classic and emotional story. The effects, sets and makeup are great too! Edit: to all of you who say “It’S nOt UnDeR-ApPrEcIaTeD!” The movie was not well received by critics and some fans of the original movie when it first came out 20 years ago. Some said Jim Carrey’s performance was not enough to save the movie. We all know this is BS these days. The movie the BECAME a classic after all this time because it got to a point where people understood what was so good about it and stopped comparing it to the original animated classic. I must be old for remembering this, I was 10 in 2000 and saw the movie in Theaters and remember the reaction by a lot of people. I personally always loved this movie.

She was a great character, when i watched it as a 4-5 year old i wasn't scared of the grinch because i didn't see any fear in her, not even the first time she meets the grinch, i think it says something that james and the giant peach was another of my favorites. I could stand seeing somewhat scary things if the characters weren't afraid of those things that would normally scare a child. Its why i also like scooby doo and harry potter, sure the characters were scared of the unknown but they didn't let that stop them.
