You're lucky that you didn't hit your femoral artery! Be safe and god bless LFG. Thank you for sharing this and being so honest with your viewers. I appreciate the content. Love all of it
@redfishrambo57612 жыл бұрын
So lucky! If he hit that artery he would have been unconcious before he could have gotten inside and up the stairs and likely would have been dead before his family knew what happened considering he didn't immediately look at the wound and there was nobody else on hand to tie a tourniquet (probably would have passed out before he could tie it himself). You gotta be careful when your doing shit alone.

That is the most relatable injury I have seen in a while. Can’t count the number of times something sharp bounced back and hit me in the leg like that. I hope you learn quicker than I have, and stay safe.

@@conniebennett6646 this just reminds me of an episode of Top gear from years ago, where the guys were testing big rig’s and one of the tests they did was running into a wall of those office water cooler bottles. One of the guys (I think it was James), got knocked out in the impact and came out his seat, so while the firefighters and paramedics were treating him, they cut a piece in where the other two guys were talking about how he was going to wake up in a truck cab, with 5 sweaty firefighters, and be mightily confused for a couple minutes xD

The Walmart that my wife and I used to work at just lost a manager, actually my wife's old manager. She ran an animal rescue in her free time. She was out taking care of the animals and apparently something knicked her Femoral Artery and she bled out. She was all by herself. You were extremely lucky and we're all glad that you're still here 😁👍

In college I played finally for a season, had a knee injury and while rehabbing, took turns in our D-3 school's lone whirlpool with a soccer goalie who hit the hip bone under his glutinous maximus on the 6x6 post of the practice field goalpost. His bruise bled down from his butt all the way to his ankle he had a 3-4" wide bruise that wad every color a bruise can have. He was easy to spot on campus, folks looking I'll behind him as he was a shorts guy almost year round in Wisconsin.

Coming off a hunting injury 16 days ago. 2nd day Javelina hunting and ripped open my hand on a rusty barded wire fence post, skin flapped open, and two miles from the truck. Luckily my buddy had his first aid kit, mine was in my truck.. he wrapped me up within a minute of the the injury and walked me back to the truck. I ended up with only eight stitches between my index and thumb. Still have weeks of recovery. Awesome to hear you could still slay em in Mexico.

Nice story you got there. Last summer 2021 first day out Sweden Lapland. Up out of bed started collecting firewood started splitting wood with an axe I had sharpen the axe before we left home. Few minutes later friend gets up pokes his head out of the van and says something I turn around to look at him and swung the axe down. bounced off the log landed on my left index finger split my tendon long ways in half from first knuckle too the second knuckle . down to the bone. Pinched the cut With my fingers ran over the van told my friend to get his clothes on we got to go to the hospital before we eat breakfast. Took four stitches that sticks the tendon back together and then six stitches on the outside... It was the first day of the trip and we are planning to stay up there for a week so we did got it stitched up and took 3 days before able to fly fish but I got a new Pb trout on the last day. Yeah it kind of sucks when these things happen but scares are there to remind us to be more safe next time and behind every scar there's a story some are good and some are bad some are funny and some are sad. Thanks for the story ☺️

Glad you are alright and that you had Steph with you. I had a similar experience this year on Jan 6th, I was getting ready to travel 5 hours to go hunting and decided to cut some small cedar branches to put with my hunting clothes. I was using a new multi tool with a serrated blade and didn't realize just how sharp it was and I cut straight down through a branch and with the momentum I kept going and hit my knee cap. I knew right away I needed to hold it and get to the house and stop the bleeding, my 7 year old son was the only one around but I was able to wrap it up tightly to stop the bleeding, I had to keep wrapping it up for a few days to keep it from bleeding. I had a hard time bending my knee for 3 days. Then a week later while moving stuff at work I hit it and busted it back open and had to compress it again. Absolutely love your videos and hope the family and you have a very blessed new year.
