I think if you want the most immersive experience in a game with incredible stealth and combat, you're missing out if you pass up on The Last Of Us Part II. I've played it through twice, once on PS4, once on PS5 and I think this will be my third go haha. Love or hate the story, the combat and encounters you experience in Grounded are hard to find in many other games like this.

The great thing about grounded is that the more you play it, the more you get used to not being able to use listen mode or dying very quickly, having to know where the enemys will go and all that stuff. I only play on grounded now. It‘s become the definitive way to play for me. Absolutely love this game!

Yep, it really pulls you into a totally different game just by taking away all those assists, love it and find it hard to play it any other way, though Survivor is a bit less punishing at times ha!

6:35 is such a satisfying kill, reminds me of the first game where Joel and Ellie get hit by that car trap and you're Joel and you also run with the adrenalín pumping and beat the shit out of the guy hurting Ellie.

I love that NaughtyDog added an accessibility option that turns quick-tap events into hold. If there's one thing I hate in a game, it's one that STARTS as a reaction but then ends up purely being a step-by-step process for murdering your controller.

It's cool to see others who enjoy the gameplay as much as I do, nice video. In my second playthrough I began restarting a lot of encounters right after the last enemy had fallen, just to experience it all over again. Nice touch with the lowered music, might give that a try as well. To me grounded+ feels a little bit easier than grounded though. Because of your arsenal and crafting recipes you tend to find more resources (e.g. bottle parts in Jackson, SMG ammo in Seattle). And using the SMG in single-shot mode you can dispose of a lot of enemies in silence.

the last times i had talked to you, and now this gameplay clips. i havent watched last of us in about two years and god the colours the mechanics , the emotion on the mans face, realising he was the last to face the two. everything about this game, with YOU is just chef's kiss. there arent many things that have this emotional attachment to me like this game does. definitely needs a playthough in this difficulty. please man. i cant genuinely express how happy i am to see you and this game together. i almost have golden retriever energy right now lol

I'm very happy for this video!! I remembered seeing people talk about the gameplay feeling shallow and easy after I'd just beaten it on grounded and it frustrated me a bit!! I've always been telling others it's the most fun and immersive way to play. It’s just incredible to see the player navigate through the game's challenges with ease. Engaging in gameplay through this approach allows one to fully comprehend and admire the intricate technical aspects and capabilities of the game. No wonder why it was GOTY when it came out.

That's the thing about this game's reaction I don't understand. Story debates aside, the quality of the game design here, the sound, the animation work, core stealth and shooting mechanics, gore system, set pieces, level design, etc.. are absolutely best in class. It's not the DEEPEST stealth game necessarily as your toolset is relatively minimalistic, but it's easily one of the most satisfying, intense, stressful, and immersive stealth/action games ever made, by far. It's also an excellent survival horror in the some of the infected sections. Debating some of the writing decisions in the story is fair, but the actual GAME here is pretty goddamn excellent by just about every objective metric.

The crosshair is the only thing I won't do without since this is third person and it doesn't allow ADS. IRL, if I'm taking time to aim, it's going to be ADS or at a minimum point shooting and that's nearly impossible to do in 3rd person.

Every time I play a game I always play on the highest difficulty. I have played this game hundreds of hours and I cannot get enough of it. I love the mechanics. When I played grounded for the first time I only died about 10 times throughout the whole game. And I mostly use arrows with headshots & explosive arrows when enemies are swarmed together in very rare occasions. No Return is extremely fun as well.

Hell yeah well done mate! That's no easy feat, so fair play! And I actually think the most fun way to play (once you've got Grounded and Grounded+ handled) is Survival. It opens up creativity and fun a bit more, if that makes sense. Well done though!
