I've spent the last few months collecting data and trying out different hypotheses until I finally arrived on the correct conclusion.

@@mirrortodarkness9182 honestly, that just means you're having pretty bad luck. Sometimes one or two links can lag behind a bit (they're just failing the rng rolls), but that's pretty extreme. Really the only thing to do though is keep taking on 23-8. I'm sure that's frustrating though, so for sanity's sake, I'd recommend just using your three daily boosts there and you should see them catch up

I have a question let's say one unit is at level 4 and another is at level 1 which one of the link levels is used

I'm one of those people who don't really grind link levels on purpose, if it happens, hey that's pretty good. If I'm doing a prime battle event, I get a lot, and I mean a lot of link level-ups for my f2p characters. For example, I was doing the Majin Buu and Babidi prime battle event, and because of that my Eza int SSj 3 Goku is almost fully maxed out! There are just some pesky links that didn't want to budge. That being said though this video definitely gave me some good information for the future, so I applaud you on your work. 👏

Can anyone make an injection that reads your ram? If it really is decided when you enter a stage, and we know you can play it offline then it's possible to read the memory stored and figure out which stage contain the level up you want no?

Yeah it's definitely over rated. I rarely get high link levels from it, but it is still worth trying every week and then just going back to 23-8 after

@@WafflesTheAsianYenbear odds are you’ll get more link levels in 4 runs of 23:8 than you would one bee pan.

my issue with 23-8 is if links are determined when you start the stage, then because of the branching paths and rng with the dice rolls for movement, there's a very real possibility that you miss potential link levels. if this is the case, then i think 8-9 would be a much better option. thoughts?

The issue I have with 8-9 is that you can only do it on z-hard, so that does lower the stamina part of the equation. Plus that gives you 5 guaranteed fights where with 23-8, you generally can land on at least that much

I know I’m super late, and I probably won’t get a response but what you said about Dokkan awakening scared me. So if I’m training up a unit who has yet to get their Dokkan awakening will have all their links reset to 1? Or is it just any links that they gain/change when they Dokkan awaken? Anything helps, as I’m grinding now.

I’m a little confused do links need to be active with a partner to be levelled up? I’ve levelled some up without them being active on the story stage so I’m guessing you can?

Nope! Every link has a chance to level up after each battle, regardless of whether it was active or not c:

Waffles, can you tell me like right now quests stamina is halved. Does that affect leveling up links as I know the less stamina the less probability to level up but I’m hearing it act like it’s original stamina and leveling up links won’t be affected. Is that true?

So I haven't tested it personally, but it makes sense that it would use the original stamina. It's my understanding that the stamina cost is attached to the event itself. It seems like it would be a lot of work for them to change how the whole event interacts just for these kind of celebrations

You make it sound like boost is useless, then you praise it saying it doubles the chance

@@seventranslate3530 sure let me see if I can clarify it for you. I was first talking about how the community was split on whether or not it helps. Boost does help, but it doesn't double the chance like some people expected. The game tests each link once per fight space, but boost changes that to twice per fight space. So instead of changing a 50% probability, like a coin flip to get heads, to guaranteed 100%, it's more like flipping two coins
