i'm watching this 2019. born in ''51 in the outskirts of a suburban town our red london bus service ran once an hour the 264 we never had a car. When i was about 13 yrs old we could buy an " all over red rover" which gave all day travel on red buses and tubes my pal and i planned our trip to get to the furthest point on their map, as we were one of the furthest points also. We did this several times.wandering about london, down small alleyways going down to the Thames, exploring the silty mud.scared we would sink, no knowledge of what could have happened to us and not a care in the world we even took sandwiches, oh what memories of london i have, and a knowledge no school can teach, out on yer own as a kid exploring and no effing google. I have travelled most of the world since then.

When I was 5 years old I got left and separated on a tube train from my family. As I got to the doors they closed and off the train went with my family left on the platform. It was terrifying. I remember curling into a ball and crying at the door. Thankfully some kind passenger came and helped me and took me to the attendant. It was almost two hours before I was reunited with the family but I never forget the kindness that was shown to me or the fear I felt. Even now as an adult and having lived in London and travelled on tube a lot it still scares me. I’m so glad I left London.

Here are some good ideas as to what should be done to reduce overcrowding on the Tube, DLR and Overground: - Bakerloo line: Build extension to Lewisham (via Old Kent Road), then onwards to Greenwich Park using the alignment of the old branch line there. Also build branch from Elephant and Castle to Camberwell (route of earlier proposed extension), then onwards to Peckham Rye, and then use the alignment of the old branch to Crystal Palace High Level, terminating there. - Central line: New station at Shoreditch High Street - Metropolitan line: More through trains to Moorgate - Northern line: Track replacement to allow higher operating speeds will be necessary to increase line capacity. - Piccadilly line: Reopen Aldwych branch and extend to Waterloo, running trains through Holborn northwards to Cockfosters (rather than terminating at Holborn). Reopen York Road station as York Way, providing an interchange with London Overground and relieving congestion at King's Cross St Pancras. - Waterloo and City line: New station at Blackfriars. - DLR: Build extension from Bank to Green Park, with intermediate stations at Ludgate Circus, Aldwych and Charing Cross. - Overground: Reopen Maiden Lane station as York Way, providing interchange with Piccadilly line as well as connection with King's Cross and St Pancras stations. - Crossrail Elizabeth line: New station at Silvertown for London City Airport. These projects would mean less crowds at stations such as Oxford Circus, Covent Garden, Bank, Euston and King's Cross St Pancras.

The rights to the show are now cheap enough that it is profitable for a relatively small KZbin channel to lisence them legally and still turn a profit. It's a very good idea and helps to preserve old shows.

@@TheRevWillNotBeTelevised Under investment? So how do you explain the ongoing expansion and improvements to the entire network? Bear in mind that improvements cannot be rushed, as the Tube network is a 19/7 operation, so the hours when improvement works can be done are limited, especially at the busiest locations. You heard it yourself, at peak times, Victoria Station handles 1000 passengers per minute. But I digress. You whine about "ridiculous neo con policies" but offer no solutions of your own. If you on a train and it breaks down the best thing is not to panic they will either fix it or let you off at the platform. If worse comes to it they will turn the power off the line and evacuate you to the nearest station. Those on the platform will either evacuate the station or remain on the platform.

1:45 *Look how well behaved the English people are. If those were Walmart shoppers like on black Friday they would be pushing shoving punching spraying mace into the air and trampling people to death* We live in a country where people have died in order to get a 39.99 DVD player instead of the normal 59.99. I personally would spend the extra 20# and not die or just wait a few hours to buy my DVD player. How badly do you need to watch DVDs? DVD players are cool but not worth dying over, maybe a blu ray player is worth dying over but not DVD. Turns out the 39.99 DVD was Apex brand which has a 33% return rate due to them being dead on arrival much like the people at Walmart.

He may not of had a valid argument there "It cost 4.40 and you paid a pound do you think thats right?" Well the ticket had already been purchased unless they always had disclaimers on them then surely that piece of paper is the property of the person who paid 4.40 and they can sell it on if they wish. Been a long time so I can't remember if they had disclaimers on them say can't be resold. But then that might not even be legal. Like the Not To Be Sold Separately isn't actually a legal requirement its just a suggestion.

@@UnseenSpirit Remember meeting some pensioners outside Buckhurst Hill tube station, at the time, I had a 60+ Oyster Card, now a London Freedom Pass, as retired, they told me that they had to pay, as not London residents, full price on the tube, fortunately it’s free.

at least it sounds like you got options in london - munich not so much, but it´s the trains here not the underground usually and staff is not just clueless when you ask them for the way but also unfriendly and if you don´t speak german you´re pretty much f***t cause they just leave you standing there (saw that a few times and went to help cause such behaviour annoys me so much)

One doesn't expect too much joy on public transport. But all I've ever seen on the tube is misery and crush. That wouldn't be so bad - except that once one gets off the tube- all that can be seen is panic. Ambition is to be lauded, clearly, I just hate to think that fifteen levels above these guys are some elites who really couldn't care less how hard the normal people try.
