When i was about 13 yrs old we could buy an " all over red rover" which gave all day travel on red buses and tubes my pal and i planned our trip to get to the furthest point on their map, as we were one of the furthest points also. We did this several times.wandering about london, down small alleyways going down to the Thames, exploring the silty mud.scared we would sink, no knowledge of what could have happened to us and not a care in the world we even took sandwiches, oh what memories of london i have, and a knowledge no school can teach, out on yer own as a kid exploring and no effing google. I have travelled most of the world since then.

When I was 5 years old I got left and separated on a tube train from my family. As I got to the doors they closed and off the train went with my family left on the platform. It was terrifying. I remember curling into a ball and crying at the door. Thankfully some kind passenger came and helped me and took me to the attendant. It was almost two hours before I was reunited with the family but I never forget the kindness that was shown to me or the fear I felt. Here are some good ideas as to what should be done to reduce overcrowding on the Tube, DLR and Overground: - Bakerloo line: Build extension to Lewisham (via Old Kent Road), then onwards to Greenwich Park using the alignment of the old branch line there. Also build branch from Elephant and Castle to Camberwell (route of earlier proposed extension), then onwards to Peckham Rye, and then use the alignment of the old branch to Crystal Palace High Level, terminating there. - Central line: New station at Shoreditch High Street - Metropolitan line: More through trains to Moorgate - Northern line: Track replacement to allow higher operating speeds will be necessary to increase line capacity. - Piccadilly line: Reopen Aldwych branch and extend to Waterloo, running trains through Holborn northwards to Cockfosters (rather than terminating at Holborn). Reopen York Road station as York Way, providing an interchange with London Overground and relieving congestion at King's Cross St Pancras. - Waterloo and City line: New station at Blackfriars. - DLR: Build extension from Bank to Green Park, with intermediate stations at Ludgate Circus, Aldwych and Charing Cross. - Overground: Reopen Maiden Lane station as York Way, providing interchange with Piccadilly line as well as connection with King's Cross and St Pancras stations. - Crossrail Elizabeth line: New station at Silvertown for London City Airport. These projects would mean less crowds at stations such as Oxford Circus, Covent Garden, Bank, Euston and King's Cross St Pancras.

I personally would spend the extra 20# and not die or just wait a few hours to buy my DVD player. How badly do you need to watch DVDs? DVD players are cool but not worth dying over, maybe a blu ray player is worth dying over but not DVD. Turns out the 39.99 DVD was Apex brand which has a 33% return rate due to them being dead on arrival much like the people at Walmart.
