If it wasn’t for this show, Nickelodeon would probably be long gone by now. It saved the network from total obscurity. Because at the time even in 2016, SpongeBob the #1 money maker of Nickelodeon was going SO obscure it couldn’t save Nickelodeon anymore. So The Loud House is the true savior of Nickelodeon.

Yea, it's not like the people working on spongebob intended to get these shows canceled, it's the fault of the network for clogging the schedule with spongebob and not giving other shows a chance.

While I think the reason people weren’t watching certain Nickelodeon shows was due to Nick’s bad advertising. I do agree with the fact that SpongeBob isn’t entirely to blame.

I can agree with the characters, because yeah, some of them _do_ actually feel like I've people I've known in real life: when I was younger, I knew a girl just like Luan (yes, _Luan,_ just without the penchant for pranks); and even Lori and Leni remind me of different aspects of my own older sister. As far as the animation goes, I kind of wish it was hand-drawn, as opposed to Flash - I feel like it'd better and more efficiently capture that comic book asthetic that Chris Savino was going for, given his childhood fascination with comics. My only other quibble with the show is the pacing: more often than not, the pacing is so rapid and quick-cut, it really doesn't allow time for what you're watching to sink in and process - there's very little breathing room . . . I don't know if it's because of the stigma that kids today have no attention spans, or if they're just trying to cram as much content as they can into 11-minutes worth of cartoon, but I don't remember any of the cartoons I grew up with that had 11-minute segments (or even 7-minute segments) feeling as rushed as THE LOUD HOUSE can. And, I agree, I've been concerned about the possibility of this show being milked for more than it's worth, to the point that like other animated series like ARTHUR, THE SIMPSONS, and anything by Seth MacFarlane, it's been on for so long, and it's run out of so much steam, we actually _want_ it to end because of how bad it's gotten . . . sadly, I could easily see that happening. Otherwise, insightful video . . . and yes, Luan is my personal favorite too (with Lucy in a close second)!

As much as I cannot stand this show, I definitely agree with the comment about advertising. It's the only show on the network I remember being advertised on CoolMathGames.com. I do think the show is being milked. In 3 & 1/2 years, its had a podcast, 5 seasons (that go up to 130 half-hours, something only SBSP, FOP, and Rugrats have reached), and a spin-off that has 20 half-hours (for now).

Maybe I'm a little jealous because I've enjoyed every other Nicktoon this decade except for Welcome To The Wayne, this one, and its spin-off (I don't like some acquisitions like Regal Academy, Kuu Kuu Harajuku, or every Nicktoons Network original barring Wild Grinders/Get Blake!), but it still upsets me a little that practically nothing else from this decade has gotten as popular as this. Still, I heavily agree with the points you made in this video.

They really are until you get familiar with them. For the longest time, I kept getting the two oldest sisters (Lori and Leni) mixed up; likewise with the twins Lola and Lana.

This is insane, but when a show can ACTUALLY be considered better in a live-action movie, a feat that many movies keep trying to do, then the NEED for it to be animated is absolutely unnecessary, so, yeah, 'cause the latin version bombed, means that even though i sorta liked some of what i saw, but NOW that the live-action movie out-performed the show, i WILL NEVER give the show the second chance it deserves, because it doesn't NEED to be animated!!!!! So when your show doesn't NEED to tell it's story using the medium

Not only do they have the casagrandes as it's own show, they are also doing another series where it's just the loud house in live action. So that's 2 spinoff shows going on while the original is still running. Which is also what happened to spongebob not very long ago. Nickelodeon is becoming so dependent on these massive cash cows that it is impossible to imagine the network surviving if these shows just ended.

Actually, the Casagrandes ended back in September...which I believe was mostly so Nick could make room for the live-action show (which, need I remind you, was supposed to be a Paramount+ original) because it hasn't been rerun since its finale. Either way, there will not be 2 spinoffs on Nick at the same time

Personally, I really enjoyed season 3, it did so much to expand the series and characters. I don't want to spoil anything for you, but there are some episodes that really highlight this: A Fridge Too Far Shop Girls Crimes of Fashion Everybody Loves Leni Head's Poet Anxiety Racing Hearts Stage Plight Cooked And so on. And season 4 has been trying to continue on with what they started. This series started out as simple slice of life stuff, which it still is, but it was mostly contained to the Louds and their house half the time, but now they have expanded their world and characters and we have learned so much more about all 11 Loud Kids and the parents and they have all grown and developed in some way, some more than others, but still. And I look forward to what's net for the series, with several high hopes for it, even going as far as to write my own fanfiction for season 5 episodes that I hope happen on my Wattpad page.
