Also Rurouni Kenshin. I’m still surprised that it’s the most political series that Shonen Jump has ever published. It absolutely deconstructed the romanticization of the Jidal Geki, but praised the samurai and ninja that were able to adapt and accept the Industrial Revolution, knowing that it was hard to for them to lose a bit of old ways.

My ancestor is upper class samurai and part of daimyo's family. I love Edo period's Japan. I don't like after the Meiji era's Japan.
