Hadiths of Wearing Earrings: Abu `Abdillah (as). He said: Piercing the ear of the boy is from the Sunna, and circumcision of the boy is from the Sunna. Narrated by Hussein ibn Khalid: I asked Imam Reza (as): “When is it time to be happy for the sake of the child? Imam Reza said: "When Hassan ibn Ali was born, Jibraeel landed on the seventh day to congratulate to the Prophet (sal) and ordered him to make a name for him, and he cuts off his hair, and he makes Aqiqah for him, and he pierces his ear. It was the same for the birth of Hussein . [Jibraeel (as)] landed on the seventh day with the Prophet (sawa) and commanded him to do the same. [Hasan and Hussein (as)] in left side (center) of front of their head had a bunch of hair (Zulf) They had a hole in their soft parts of right ear and a hole in their left ear. So the earrings, which the Arabs call "Qurt", were in the right ear, and the earrings, which were called "Shanf", were in their left ear.”(Kuleyni , Kitab-al-Kafi -Vol-11 , Page-408)

In general, it is to clarify that it is not forbidden, because the word forbidden is very big, and today we see that scholars use it frequently without fear of Allah. I have never considered earrings that the men used to wear in the Bible, which is also evident in the history of Moses and the calf. Exodus 32:2 NIV [2] Aaron answered them, “Take off the gold earrings that your wives, your sons and your daughters are wearing, and bring them to me.” So it was like I never realised why the sons were wore earrings. And the meaning of them looks interesting. This is only a tiny proof that the not working scholars. I have seen many videos or blogs were they was giving advice to people in different aspects of their daily life without any right to do it.

It is narrated that Ali ibn Ibrahim narrated from Harun ibn Muslim from Mas‘adah ibn Sadaqah who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s), has said, "Circumcise your children on the seventh day from their birth; it is more clean and allows the flesh to grow quicker. The earth dislikes the urine of one who is not circumcised.”’ Through the same chain of narrators as that of the previous Hadith the following is narrated: “Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s), has said, ’Piercing a hole in the ear of a boy is of the Sunnah and circumcision on the seventh day is of the Sunnah.’” - Al Kafi volume 6, chapter #23.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Husayn ibn Khalid who has said the following: "I once asked al-Rezaasws about when to offer congratulations for the birth of a child. The Imam stated this Hadith. 'It was the birth of al-Hassanasws ibn Aliasws, Jibrilas descended to congratulate the Holy Prophetsaww, O Allahazwj, Grant Compensation to Muhammadsaww and his familyasws worthy of their services to Yourazwj cause, on the seventh day and conveyed (the Message) to name him and give him a Kunyah, shave his head, offer 'Aqiqah for him and pierce a hole in his ear. When al-Husaynasws was born Jibrilas came on the seventh day and conveyed (the Message) similarly.' The Imamasws then said: 'They both had two bunches of hairs on the left middle side of their head and the hole was in their right ear on the loop and on the left one it was on the top of the ear. Earring was in the right ear and al-Shanf (earring) on the left ear.' It is narrated that the Holy Prophet saww, left two bunch of hairs on the middle of their head and it is more correct than al-Qarn (the left middle of the head)35. Ibid h6.

1 On the authority of Al-Hussein bin Khalid, who said: “I asked Abu Al-Hassan Al-Rida, peace be upon him, about congratulating on a child, when? He said: He said: When Al-Hassan bin Ali was born , Gabriel descended with Congratulation upon the Prophet (PBUH) on the seventh day, and ordered him to name him, give him a kunya, shave his head, perform ‘aqeeqah for him, and pierce his ear. Likewise, when al-Husayn (PBUH) was born, he came to him on the seventh day and ordered him to do the same. He said: They had two tufts of hair on the left horn (corner of the head), and the piercing was in the right ear in the earlobe and in the left ear was at the top of the ear, so the earring was in the right and the stud in the left. It has been narrated that the Prophet (PBUH) left (for him) two tufts of hair in the middle of the head. And it is more valid than on the horn (corner of the head). Al-Kafi - Sheikh Al-Kulayni - Vol. 6 - Page 33 2 On the authority of Ibn Abbas, he said: “Seven things are part of the Sunnah for a boy on the seventh day: he is named, circumcised, something harmful is removed from him, and his ear is pierced.” Al-Mu’jam Al-Awsat by Al-Tabarani (1/176) 3 Imam Abu Abdullah (peace be upon him) said: "Piercing the ear of the boy is from the Sunna, and circumcision of the boy is from the Sunna."
