This is the last comment I'll leave in this video. Note: you're not ugly!!! Your extremely attractive and definitely rare in every aspect of the word. When I seen your face for the first time I was in awe because your just so beautiful!!!!💯🎯 I'm a man and for me to be subscribed to you sometimes make me feel completely out of place because your channel is based around hair management. My point is: I'm attracted to everything about you...even the way you talk 🤭 I'm just keeping it 💯 And continue to do your thing your doing great!!!! Dont let anyone tell you different.

I completely understand where you are coming from! Never considered myself the best looking person by any means.. not even close and once i started gaining weight it was even worse. Then I’m getting older and AGING, it’s ten times worse. But honestly i think taking sometime for me, pampering myself, daily affirmations, working out.. all of this has helped me so much . You are taking the right steps to make yourself beautiful in your eyes. It’s definitely going to take as much time as you need it to take and you’ll eventually get there. The only suggestion I have, which it probably won’t help, but when I was looking to build my confidence, I had to literally love on myself. Tell myself I looked good & whatever flaws I had that people made fun of, I loved that x100. Take the negative and turn it into a positive. You’ll eventually get though it! And for those who said you was ugly, too skinny & etc... was projecting their insecurities on you. You’re beautiful.

Well first of all, you are NOT ugly. Not by any means. In fact I personally think you're one of the most beautiful young ladies I've seen here on KZbin. I'm a lot older than most of your followers I'm sure. In fact I have a daughter around your age. I just started checking out your channel for the hair content but I liked your PERSONALITY which is why I subscribed. I know this may not offer much comfort but you should know that there is not a person alive, male or female, that doesn't have some insecurities about how they look. Most of us just make the best out of what the good Lord gives us and keep pushing on. I have noticed a drastic change in today's standard of beauty though and for the life of me I can't understand it. It's like younger ladies strive to look like these celebrities with the huge chest, tiny waist, huge butt, hair (mostly fake) down to their butt, nails designed to be more of a weapon than a fashion choice and makeup piled on so thick and over exaggerated that they literally look like CLOWNS. Makeup is supposed to enhance a woman's NATURAL beauty, not make her look like a completely different person. But going beyond the superficial, which is where I think your real problem stems from because like you said, nothing you do makes you feel any better right? So you need to dig deeper. What else is going on your life that might contribute to low self esteem? Usually for us women It's a break up. Or we're into someone who's not into us. Or we're just lonely cuz we're single and can't get a date. I don't know you or your life but you strike me as a well rounded, intelligent young lady who was raised well so cudos to your parents! Oh and I was always taught by my parents that the kids who tease you and call you ugly are really just jealous and really just want to BE you. I'm guessing your parents told you something similar. And it's true. Girl misery loves company in childhood AND adulthood. So please don't let the ignorant, meaningless words of children determine who you are as an adult. So now that I have literally broken a record on KZbin's longest comment, I will leave you with this...True self confidence comes from within. Not in just your physical appearance but in who you are as a person. You have to grow to LOVE YOURSELF and be happy and content with what God gave you. Then it won't matter what anyone else thinks and you won't need outside validation. KNOW THYSELF. Stay blessed and have a wonderful day! 🙂

You’re my hair twin and it’s crazy how similar our stories are- I was stick skinny my whole life up until my mid to late 20s (metabolism snuck up and finally caught up), I was an ugly duckling growing up and would notice my friends getting attention that I never got. The glow up is so real, ppl stare wherever I go, but the scars remain and it sucks.

I believe any person must love who they are on the inside first. When you love yourself internally, you can then look in the mirror and love what you see. Inner beauty reflect on the outside, to me. Of course we do things to make us feel beautiful ex hair or makeup, but self love is something you will see and feel when you look In the mirror and what people will see when they look at you. I hope you find that self love. You are beautiful and we can tell you that all day, but it don’t matter unless you can see that for yourself. You don’t have to look for that validation from anyone else.

Self-esteem is something that I have DEFINITELY struggled with. I created a morning and nighttime affirmation playlist on YT. I listen to the morning playlist while I'm getting ready in the morning and the nighttime one plays the whole night. It has definitely helped with low self-esteem and many other insecurities I've struggled with. I also like the sticky notes around all the mirrors you look in and around your front door. I feel like I could have felt somewhat better about myself if the negative comments I heard at school weren’t also coming from my family. I managed to overcome this by the time I was 30, but I was a work in progress. And now that I’m older those same family members call me fat because I’ve picked up some weight. I know this is an older video but i’ve been binging your channel, I love how you come across so comfortable and natural on camera. Like it doesn’t seem scripted it’s kinda just a convo. Also can relate to your experience, cus i definitely internalized all the funky comments about my appearance from my youth and i’m still unlearning it. Accepting compliments from others and focusing on the parts of you that you do like is definitely a start! And also filling the media u consume with people you feel look kinda similar to and that you can admire instead of envy. Cus I definitely find myself feeling saltier about my flat chest or big nose when I follow people that don’t look that way. I’ve noticed that getting used to your natural face helps too because i’ve just recently learned (and am trying to accept) that sometimes all the extras (lashes, makeup, hair) won’t really boost how you feel much. Then again, I think maybe it’s just important to find which boosts work for you, cus keeping my brows done and exercising actually does help my view of myself. Love the transparency on this issue, cus sometimes it’s easy to see someone you view as pretty and think they’ve never had issues with their esteem and it’s nice to be reminded that most of us have struggled with this. You’re definitely gorgeous though!

You are beautiful! and I am glad that you made a video about this topic because it affects so many women throughout their lives. People really need to stop making negative comments about an adolescent's body type because they are not fully grown at that stage and it is very, very hurtful to their self esteem. We need to normalize accepting all body types and speaking positively about each other. Love people for who they are and not just a body shape.

I’ve never been one to comment often on videos because it’s usually AS IF I’m just watching TV, but you’ve got an interesting introspection of what it is that’s making you feel less than whatever it is you think you should be feeling and personally my experience WITH (not of you) is that it’s AS IF you’re sitting across from me just venting as if we’re homegirls going to brunch 🛍🥂... your demeanor is welcoming despite any negative vibes you might be feeling which is a graceful quality, one that not always mastered by every woman, it exudes naturally from your personality... your personable nature is what makes your viewers wish to ‘connect’ ... the disposition about your personal journey showed that you’ve reflected upon how you didn’t have to agree with the invasive negative commentary from others and that only makes your genuine perspective of yourself honestly shine (= growth) in a way you haven’t quite have realized yet, that you have a more thorough understanding of who you believe you are than you think... self-esteem is not about analysis, it’s about determination after opening your mind that beauty is not an end result to means of achieving a certain look but rather having decided that what the world concludes about you is only in portion to what you know to be true... the outter exterior of your face, body and hair simply displays your softness, your lady-like elegance and lovely energy... just don’t forget to SMIZE 🤩

I suggest getting a small notebook that you can carry around with you so you can write down daily what you like about yourself. It doesn't have to be your looks specifically, it can be the way you smell, your outfit, how your hair is looking, your personality. Then at night, talk to yourself in the mirror and tell yourself the things you like about you. Having positive self talk is so important. Also, try unfollowing or muting accounts on social media that make you compare yourself negatively to them. I think looking in the mirror when applying lotion or when you do your skin care makes you have an intimate relationship with your body. I've been using the app headspace for meditation and it's seriously been helping me with blocking out negative thoughts. If I told myself 2 years ago to meditate, I would have laughed, but it really does help. ❤️

You look and sound pretty, baby girl! Reach out to the kindest elders in your family or support system for encouragement. They've gone through this & can tell you why middle schoolers through adults make cruel comments to others. It does not come from a happy place. They insult others to bring them down and make others feel as low as they do on the inside. Focus on what you can do well. Develop skills and cultivate your talents because youth and beauty is fleeting anyway. Spend time helping other people. Doing things like these will help you develop more self esteem and be less reliant on how others view your appearance. I always thought you were pretty since I found your channel. Yes, everyone goes to this from time to time but it's unhealthy to stay stuck in it.

We all be feeling like that from time to time. I don’t have how to get out of that mood solution other than sometimes that thought is for front in our minds and sometimes it doesn’t even cross it… we just got to manage to juggle the bad thoughts we have about ourselves in the back until we can drop them all together.
@brieb923 жыл бұрын
I really wish I had some solutions as a person who has struggled with this and I still do relationship wise (because I constantly wonder, is a dude really into me or passing time with me thinking I may be an easy smash because I might have a weight insecurity; or does he really wanna be with someone thicker/curvier because all men look) but I think it took me talking it out & understanding that being bullied at home & at school broke me in so many ways-- on top of boys who broke up with me because I wouldn't put out... It's a long journey girl.... and there is possibly more damage that you will see/realize the more you dive into it, but I guess just figuring it all out is a start to recovering. I do feel beautiful now although it has never been something I've heard; I had to look long & deep and accept me for who I am in order to kinda take my power- because when people know what hurts/breaks you, they bend it to their leverage. I pray you get to the place you wish to be but please know you are FAR from ugly- mad FAR!! 💯 Sorry I wrote you a whole book girl!

Self love is the hardest thing to do/achieve. I went through the same thing (still going thru it honestly), except mine started in elementary school, grew up during the light skin dark skin wars, where all guys deemed light skinned girls prettier, than dark skinned (and of course i'm dark skinned), and then kids and adults alike are just sooo cruel sometimes for no reason was called ugly, black ugly monkey, African booty scratcher, etc, , so dealt with that almost til college. the guys I was interested in during middle school and high school, were gearing towards the popular girls, and like you i was skinny, til late teens early 20's. And when I would go out with my girls, guys would buy them drinks and not me.. So here I am in my 40's still dealing with this, and trying to also do things like, mani pedi;s (when i can afford to), and just reminding myself, that I am enough, I am pretty enough (not by american beauty standards) but by my own, it's a never ending journey/struggle. And the one thing I hate is when women, who have no problem getting guys, or are deemed pretty, say things like you have to just love yourself, it's easier said than done, when those same women, are getting compliments 24/7. and have never really had the struggle of people putting them down majority of their lives.

I understand those feelings and thoughts. But sometimes those people who are extremely attractive intimidate other people. Back handed compliments are not about you but instead the person hurling them. Actually the person hurling the comments can see what you are going to grow into when certain life events happen and they are jealous because they wish they had what you have. What I have learned is to seek God for validation. Man has too many rules to follow and they are always changing so it's very unstable. You are validated. Approved. Affirmed. And a beautiful child of the most high. Not ugly. But a reflection, made in the image and likeness of the most high God. KNOW THAT! GET IN YOUR WORD.

Yeah! I totally know what this is!! It's a real part of living in this world. I envy those that can be so secure in their onesies pj's or riding their skateboard to work at age 50. My unbiased view of you is that you are physically beautiful. This is the first video of yours I've seen so I do not know if you are a good person or not. But you are definitely beautiful! Your skin, your face, your eyes, your lips are gorgeous. Hopefully, you are equally beautiful inside. I suspect you just might be.

I can totally relate! But what helps me is this: Literally Everyone! has insecurities, so seeking the approval of people who don't even like themselves is ridiculous!! No one is an Authority on what real beauty is...like who's standard matters more than God's, because that's who created you...Psalms 139:13,14 says we are Fearfully and Wonderfully made....Solomon 2:23 says you are made in the image of God....Rest in that sis💛

Self acceptance begins with identity and that only comes from a true relationship with the love of Jesus. God heals our hearts, God chooses us, God loves us, God accepts us, and we must humbly and confidently stand on that truth regardless of the fickled feelings of others. You are beautiful. Inside out. God made you beautifully and wonderfully in His image and likeness. Be encouraged beautiful

It sounds as if you had some clowns surrounding you during childhood. I hope I can give my future children the strength and tools to handle the haters and those so-called well intentioned people. Honestly, you’re a pretty girl. You have a fun personality and you’re pretty. I like that you don’t look like a completely different person without makeup (which is how I do my makeup). I quickly unsubscribe from women who look completely different without makeup. She may not look bad without makeup but something about it is disturbing. I like that you don’t look ready to take flight with a whole eagle wing on your eyes. You’re pretty without the artifice. I also have some work to do on myself as well. I think working on affirmations is good. Positive self talk is good. Going to the gym is good too and not just for vanity purposes. Getting stronger physically especially in your core does something. I’m not sure if it’s the improved posture or what. I also recommend developing hobbies or find activities you enjoy. Do you like to quilt, crochet, golf, play tennis, swim, bake, play the piano, garden or sing? Enriching yourself is a good way to help build your self-esteem and relax. I don’t know if you believe in God or a higher power but you should lay this trouble on the altar. You KNOW these thoughts are not true. Pray or meditate on releasing all the untrue garbage that you internalized when you were younger and to find value and confidence in your inner beauty.

You need to work on your inner self then having to worrying about your outer appearance, i understand how the pandemic makes you feel, but you shouldn't feel that way about yourself. focus on what you need to accomplish first and allowing your peers affect you mentally can do a toll on anyone! Have confidence in working on your inner self esteem

I encourage you to listen to Joyce Meyer Cure for the Insecure Sermon. I can understand what you’ve been through......... like I totally understand. 💯 The truth is your beauty is not your worth. We were made to be secure in ourselves and comfortable. I pray this for you, other women and myself that we would feel comfortable completely and know that we are beautiful because we are, just because.

Life is crazy… I’ve always been “thick”… even in high school I was a 34 DD 24in waist and 42in hips and I’ve always hated it HATED IT! I always wanted to be skinny and my body has been nothing but trouble. All the attention was focused on my 🍑 and nothin else. Only sexual. And at 31 I’m still extremely insecure as well. 🤦🏾♀️.. but you’re definitely gorgeous.
