It's actually pretty easy to simply explain macro play in this game. You want to be on the outside, playing edge as it's called in BR's, and you want to never be pinched. The game is all about vision and positioning. So macro is all about picking a spot to land that you like, probably a few in this game because the drop ship is a little different than most BR's. Practice your looting path, so which camps your going to kill, vaults you're going to open, what you want from the shop, getting bonfires and so on, you get that figured out and efficiently optimized, and then practice rotating to the open side of the circle from there. That's all there is to macro. Lemur just constantly looks for either isolated fights at an edge, or looks for the rotation to an open spot on edge. Everything else you're talking about is mirco. Micro is basically impossible to teach, it's all about on the fly thinking and adapting. But it's far more similar to how you play out a game of LoL or DotA, micro is about gathering small advantages and resources, securing information, and positioning for fights. You have the same options as you do in a MOBA as well, you can rotate around your opponents and go for creeps to get levels and gear, or you can go fight. Fighting is a little more mandatory in this game, but the rest is more like a MOBA. The only exception to this is you have to be aware of the others teams in the area not just one. This makes information much more important but it's also far easier to get than in a game like LoL because of the scans you can get. But it's way harder to manage this with so many teams, which makes it so hard. Lemur is also a beast, easily the best in the game at the moment, which lets you guys do some crazy stuff that other teams can't even try. Which gives you guys all sorts of advantages. Plus he's an insane igl. Watched this tournament live and it was really fun, you guys were all awesome, and I look forward to the next one.

I think many players are aware of this type of high level meta/macro play, but the problem is so many people are simply impatient. Also, its hard to get 4 people together that want to play like this even if it is the best way to play, many people consider it to be the most unfun. But I understand in competitive play it is not about fun, it is about winning. It is a nice video, great job explaining the thought process behind high level play.

19:55 my only problem with jump pads is that it's never clear whether I'll be able to get over the spot or not. Cus there are aome spots I feel like you should go over but you just don't. They are still extremely powerful

By the nature of battle royales, if you don’t have good stuff, chances are someone else does. So it’s your job to mug them and put yourself in a better position.
