2:46 THEORY: i think that stage 1 bluelockman training is different for each individual that specialises in enchancing their weapon, so while Isagi might have goten a direct shot training, bachira might have gotten dribbling training, and chigiri some sort of speed training etc. EVIDENCE: 1)when bachira dribbles past tokimitsu in the first 3v3 match, he says "ive gone up a level from that blue lock man training you see" suggesting that he was practicing his dribbling in the 1st stage, not a direct shoot. 2)in the first stage when ego jinpachi watches over all the players, there is a closeup of a monitor showing igarashi header-ing a ball instead of shooting it, (his headers might be his weapon since he used that to intercept a pass to nagi and to even block nagi's shot)

The first part of the second selection is actually left up to interpretation and a lot of people (myself included) believe that it wasn't about shooting, but about honing your specific skill. We only get Isagi's perspective, and his weapon is his "Direct Shot" which would benefit from shooting more. It is hinted that the room isn't just supposed to be who can score the most, but who can adapt and evolve their own weapon in the least amount of time, seeing as everyone was able to come out of the room improved in their special ability. Granted, it is unknown if we will ever get confirmation about this, maybe the Nagi spinoff will show us.

i think the theory were everyone's 100 goal test is different based on their weapons is kinda proved here. If bachira got a test mainly on dribbling then he'd be way faster than Chigiri who would probably get a test based on speed (he only just started using it again). So, naruhaya prolly got something super easy since he is mid anyways. And players like karasu and shidou just started way later cuz they goofed around ig

another weird thing that applies to both anime and manga is how they treat the ranking of the second selection as “power levels” (as I call it), causing a lot of misconceptions some of these include how they treat Rin, Aryu and Tokimitsu the “Top 3”, making them seem like the 3 strongest in the entire program (Rin being actual number 1, ofc but Aryu and Tokimitsu- whilst strong, are definitely not top 3)

I think there are limited testing space that is why there is an order of who to go first in the first place. If there are for example a 20 testing space, you will need for 20 to finish before you go in that is why it is no wonder most of the highly skilled players are ranked lower than the others. If Shidou and Karasu decided to take the test later than the others, it would not be strange for his rank to be lower. This is why I thought that the rankings for this stage does not mirror the skill of the players. I only realized this after getting the next rankings wherein most of the top 5 players are from the lower ranks. It would make sense if this is the case. The only thing surprising here is that Naruhaya finished faster than Chigiri if Chigiri came in first. But it is still understandable since skills shown in the test does not correspond to the skills shown in a match since there are clearly different rules.

there is also a problem with the anime and the manga, as there could not be only 7 teams to clear up the 2nd selection there should be actually 17 teams, not 7 If you consider that 111 people completed the 1st stage (which means shido is last), there would be 37 teams of 3 At this point, 36 teams can play a match Among thos 36 teams, we'll then have 18 winners and 18 losers, i.e we'll have 18 teams of 4 members Now, if those 18 winning teams of 4 players are playing, we'll have 9 teams of 5 (those 9 teams would have cleared up the selection) and 9 teams of 3 (losers ones) So at this point, we already have 9 teams which is more than 7, but besides, we have a lot of other teams that will later form teams of 4 and then win the 4v4 match I made my math (i even created a program that makes random matches) and 17 teams should have clear up the selection and when you think about it, it makes sense because at the beginning, there is teams of 3 if you lose twice, 1 person get eliminated if you win twice, 5 people get qualified it means that there should be a lot more qualified people than eliminated people, which is absolutely not the case on the manga/anime we have 35 players among 111, when there sould be 85 (17 * 5)

Everyone had different training btw. The one we see in Isagi's 100 goals is only for him and maybe others who had similar playstyles but not everyone. Each of them had a training style that was a challenge for them. Hence why we can't really say for sure how good their scoring abilities are by just rankings.

Bachira does not really care at that point about becoming the best striker, but cares about finding someone he wants to play football with. Naruhya was never looked on as a bad shooter he was bad at direct shot which is what he needed to be on the level as the others.

Just to help stealthinator Imma just say that Anri was talking to ego at some point about how it was tailored to their individual skills, Meaning that whatever your speciality is the more it will be focused on during that training, if you want more proof, Look at how instead of the ball just being passed to isagi he has to use his spacial awareness to know exactly where the balls going, When it will get there and how long it will take for him to get there so its to help him get better at using all of his weapons and since its so specific for isagi it must also be that specific for bachira or for chigiri, Like for example the defender holograms we saw on the max stage during the 2nd selection starter during isagi's time might be actually trying to get closer and steal the ball from bachira or multiple blue lock men designed to try and steal it while he dribbles past them and scores and with chigiri he might be faced with the challenge of getting past a hologram who is just as fast or faster to help him improve on his speed.

2 selection was about mastering the main ability of a character, isagi was only getting direct shoot, so i assume bachira had to score by dribbling. Also, it didn't matter when players entered the stage, it was about who completed it faster or scored most goals in the period of time that was given

The first person to complete it would by definition get Rank 1, regardless if you're Rin or Igarashi. The only difference is that if you're Igarashi, after an hour or two you've probably dropped rank by 100 after everyone else has completed the 1st stage.

theres more going on with the 2nd selection issues such as the widely considered thoery that Niko played Barou in the 3v3 but Zantetsu was originally on Niko's team so Niko can't have lost him in the 3v3 cause he would've been in the 4v4 however this isn't the case if you can move on to the world 5 match but if your too low in terms of skill you still don't pass that theory isn't considered at all/unconfirmed and also Bachira going after Chigiri happened in the manga so that was an issue well before the anime

I always took the 2nd selection rankings as an addendum to whatever true rankings the players had during the 1st selection. I imagine Bachira and Chigiri completed the 1st stage of the 2nd selection in relatively similar times, but Bachira gets a much higher rank due to Chigiri doing basically nothing for the first 2 matches and a majority of the 3rd match in the 1st selection. Bachira that whole time was still doing his dribbling ting, as well as being the teams best passer, explaining the big rank difference between him and Chigiri. Or you know, it just doesn't make sense as you put it lol.

Although the ranks are decided once they clear the 1st stage, they only appear once they enter the next stage after forming a pair of three (as we see with isagi bachira nagi rin aryu tokimitsu). So the 888 just represents an empty rank slot as most machines do
