Many more efforts must be done to teach the rural populations about the importance of wildlife diversity. One of the reintroduced Iberian lynxes in Portugal was immediately poisoned by locals.

First big cat to fall into extinction since sabre tooth 🧐 whom u r kidding, giving incorrect details. What about tiger sub species Javanese, Balinese and Caspian that were forced to extinction in the last century, aren't they big cats 😡.
