This film investigates the future of the world's water, and paints a disturbing picture of a world running out of the most basic of life's essentials.
8-year-old Vanessa and her parents have to walk almost a mile down the cliffs of El Alto in Bolivia to collect water from an unreliable well every day. Yet, they live just a few hundred metres from their city's main water treatment plant and can see millions of gallons just beyond the barbed wire fence. They are victims of waters increasing commodification.

In the 1970s , a wave of young liberals. Bill Clinton among them, destroyed the populist Democratic Party they had inherited from the New Dealers of the 1930s. The contours of this ideological fight were complex, but the gist was: Before the 70s, the Democrats were suspicious of big business. They used anti-monopoly policies to fight oligarchy and financial manipulation. Creating competition in open markets, breaking up concentrations of private power, and protecting labor and farmer rights were understood as the essence of ensuring that our commercial society was democratic and protected from big money.

The Democratic Party of today is not the Democratic Party of FDR and that of your great-grandparents and grandparents. It was infiltrated and damaged by leftists and liberals over the many decades. And they also infiltrated and damaged the GOP Republican Party of Lincoln. Only a handful few politicians, all of them in the GOP Republican Party, are still holding on to the U.S Constitution's real context and intent in their complete entierty.

They're not though. This documentary is nonsense. It identifies a problem not created by privatization (good or bad), but not a solution to the problem. Rather it only vilifies the single thing which has drastically improved the lives of Billions of people on the planet and for the first time in human history created a Middle Class; And it seemingly (but silently) seems to infer that the very thing that has caused the vast majority of the problems humanity now faces or made them worse (Socialism/ Communism), is the solution or answer to our problems (without actually saying so).

Can't believe I heard that defence statement from Coke, "agriculture uses more water than us!" What kind of world am I living in where coke is more important than crops and drinking water? 3 litres for 1 litre of coke that's really bad efficiency. The run off needs to be better thought out, as they took the cheap shot and put it through the industrial run off where if you think about it different types of run off mixed together can create a reaction. So more responsibility is needed in dealing with monitoring run off clearly and creating solutions. filling the aquafer using a water capture funnel is the only good idea I saw in that part. But if there is a drought? coke runs dry everybody / animals / plants / eco systems die. bloody plastic has to stop too, work needed on cartons that can hold co2 pressure. There's a money spinner for some bright spark. Thank me later

Don't buy into this propaganda. "Little Dot Studios", is apparently another Globlalist funded Propaganda Mouthpiece. The western world and internet is full of them. None of these things they are mentioning are the problem. The problem is rapid procreation/ population increase and no or little human/ economic/ industrial development in these places (largely due to Socialism and corresponding corruption in Government). From the times in some areas (for example La Paz, Cochabamba, or any region in the world) the population has increased a thousand fold in only a century or two. Economic, educational, industrial, development has not caught up. Even in the so-called developed nations like America or Europe, there are still many problems (look at Flint, Michigan, Detroit, etc.). This is largely the scourge of Socialist Governments, and a lack of educational/ engineering/ economics/ civics/ patriotism, which has caused many recent declines. And yet brainwashed Useful Idiots will blame the only thing that has improved the lives of Billions of People and lifted Billions out of poverty for the first time in Human History: Our system of Free Enterprise/ Free Market Capitalism. We know their logic is supremely flawed. Yet we also know that they failed to name the culprits responsible for inventing Socialism/ Communism, and for destroying honest Free Market Capitalism, and turning it into Crony Corrupt Capitalism: The Zionist Globalist International Usury Central Bankers and their agents and allies. These are the people who want to own everything and everyone and are hell bent upon doing so. The producers of these emotional documentaries have identified a problem (presumably caused by greedy Capitalism) and yet they have failed to identify or engineer a solution (while silently seeming to promote Socialism and simply magically giving everyone water [food, clothing, housing, energy, etc.] for free as the answer to our problems).

Privatizing water is like privatizing the atmosphere that we breathe. The issue of how the water is used should be looked at absolutely. Prior to giving water access to big agriculture or other corporations like Coca Cola or other water intensive businesses, a survival allotment of water should be given to populations in amounts that allow for drinking, sanitation, personal hygiene and the cleaning of clothing and washing of food utensils unless there is an alternative for these basic necessities that remove the need for water for basic civilized human day to day function. No corporation, company or agricultural business should get one drop until the population gets their reasonable allotment. Governments have to recognize water the same way we see the atmosphere we breathe. How can any government (who should be first and foremost concerned for the health of their people) put a price on water or allow it to be privatized. That is wreckless and murderous in my opinion. I live in the US in California and we are feeling the pinch of water needs already. The debates and disagreements over water will only continue to get more and more heated and in my opinion violence will soon follow. When humans cannot get access to water, survival instincts kick in and then those who are shut out and won't have access to water will be violent in their pursuit of water. If droughts worldwide continue as they have for the past few decades and the largest consumers of water do not prepare some plan to conserve, widespread violence and war will be the order of the day. I love my fellow American, my fellow Californian and my community. This love has limits though. If I cannot get drinking water and my family is in danger of dying due to lack of fresh safe drinking water, I will absolutely kill however many people I have to so that my family doesn't die of thirst. This is a serious global problem and it should be recognized and the greatest innovators, academics and minds should be tasked with how to solve the water crisis so many people are already suffering from. Pray for rain.

This is the logic of capitalism. We compete in a system which measures nearly everything with money and material accumulation. We work in and buy from companies which believe they have to grow to survive who borrow money from lenders who want to see growth from borrowers and its all within a system which insists on growth. Some of that growth will force its way into areas where this philosophy should never be. Should any of it ever be? We support the system. The system is evil, so the evil ones rise to the top. The system is working like it is supposed to. Those with the least have no voice, they have no vote. That is how voting works in a capitalist free market. More money means a lot more votes and the ability to shut out the rest. How can we not support the system? The best we can do is minimize our support. Buy less, consume less, work less for capitalist organizations. When you do buy, buy from democratically organized, ethical companies. Support this in actions, speech and deeds.

As a British person, it gives me absolute delight to hear that Tanzania told City Water where to get off. Considering how much English people are paying for 'their own' domestic water bills (especially those who are metered - the biggest con of all) - there should be enough money kicking about to supply all Tanzania for free, with enough to spare for a few other African nations. Instead of which, people like City Water and Anglian Water are heaping huge profits off their customers to reward themselves, investors and share holders. Sometimes, I wish I was religious because I'd like to think there was a special kind of hell for Margaret Thatcher.

This is inhumanity and greed at its ugliest, the new corporate colonization. France and the UK aren't the only ones still at it. It's why formerly colonized countries around the world with immense resources never get ahead and their people continue to suffer, like it's 1875. If the greedy could charge us for oxygen, the air, they would. Watching this brought me to tears.

As always, this is total and complete radical environmentalist fear mongering propaganda. There is no scientific evidence whatsoever that there is some kind of existential Climate Change that threatens humanity. There is no evidence for Global Warming. To the contrary, there was 19 years of cooling from 1996 to 2015. There is no evidence that Earth is dryer or that there is less water, less resources, less fossil fuels, etc. It's true that there are more people and we are utilizing more resources than ever before. If you want more water, and more food, and more plants, then the only and best solution is literally to burn as many Fossil Fuels as possible. This also would be the best solution to combat any perceived or real Global Warming or Climate Change, by eliminating poverty worldwide, and would be our only hope to do so. Water Privatization (or resource Privatization) in general is always a problem. But it's also a solution for the vast majority of people, because the financing necessary to extract and process/ or purify the resources and make them available for human use takes massive time, effort/ work, infrastructure, and money. The real problem is Socialism, and a completely flawed disproven Marxist theory and mindset. The solution again, to eliminate poverty, and increase the water supply (and supply of everything else) to eliminate poverty (such as in the case of the Indian Farmers), is to BURN AS MANY FOSSIL FUELS AS POSSIBLE to raise their standard of living so they can have energy to pump water; So they can have money to pay taxes to their Government to develop water and other infrastructure. This is how the entire World has developed. So a fundamental question should be: Do we want to go back to a pre-industrial 100% agrarian society? And yet a Communist/ Fascist special interest U.N. IPCC/ Authoritarian Globalist Usury International Central Banker Conspiracy is literally preventing Developing Nations from Developing and forcing Billions to remain in poverty. Instead of alleviating these problems, these Bankers, Billionaires, World Economic Forum, Corporations, U.N. IPCC, and their bribed/ lobbied Politicians and Regulators, because they are Eugenicists hell bent on controlling the Entire World in perpetuity and controlling and enslaving all of humanity in the process. The World Economic Forum, World Bank, BIS, U.N., and all the sociopaths behind these institutions are the problem. The bribed Liberal/ Leftist/ Labour Governments are the problem. The corrupt Governments in India and Africa (and Western Governments) bribed by Coca Cola or the World Bank are the problem. Who bankrupted Detroit and ran it into the ground? Who destroyed California, and many other places in the USA? Corrupt, bribed, ignorant, liberal leftist politicians did. Of all the Municipalities in the USA that went bankrupt after the 2008 Recession, 100% of them were Democrat Run monopolies. I wish we could pay for the infrastructure, so that not a single human being is without water, food, housing, clothing, or all other basic necessities. The producers of this Documentary have identified a problem. But have they come up with a solution? The private Free Enterprise System is always more efficient and cost effective than Bureaucratic Government. Ask yourself this simple question: Who innovated and developed the world's resources and infrastructure, Governments? Or the Free Market, Private Individuals and Corporations? Blaming Thatcher and Reagan is the height of foolishness and ignorance (and is a completely false dialectic). All of this research, engineering, development, construction, materials, etc. cost money. And when a company like Suez or Biwater come into a nation and privatize the water, they of course have to pay back all the debt or cost of that infrastructure. So if a Government can do it better than a Private Corporation, why don't they? I don't recall a documentary before Privatization detailing that. These people who's centuries old desire to control and own the entire world, are the Rothschild Family in England and Europe. They are the primary shareholders/ stakeholders in the World Bank, all National Central Banks, and essentially all publically traded Comercial Banks/ Exchanges, etc. Bolivia, like Ecuador, Venezuela, Cuba, South America, Central America, Mexico, Africa, and elsewhere around the world have serious problems and Socialist Governments. And we have seen where this has led. It has led to worsening problems, poverty, destruction, and documentaries about water privatization being the problem.

Please learn and understand the difference between _legal_ and _lawful_ they're not the same thing. Adultery and murder are both unlawful in the sight of God and men...but wicked people legalize both...in other words when things are unlawful legality is essentially a judicial way of saying: go ahead you can do it without getting in trouble with the law. And when something is lawful like helping those in need or standing up to corruption it's labeled as "illegal" and we are labeled being vigilantes and wasting resources.

As a father, an American citizen and a human being I will send this message: If the powers that be choose to privatize water where I live I can tell them this, don’t ask yourselves what you should set the price point at, I’ll just tell you. The price will be the lives of your children and family because should your policy keep my family and I from a clean safe water source. Try to turn water into a profit vehicle and the streets will run red with the blood of elites and their families rushing like a freshwater river, but a red river. If you are poor or oppressed and cannot access clean safe water, because of privatization or government policy then you MUST convert your plowshares to swords and ensure the survival of your family.
