When are they going to get chemical suits in mtp?
@tomsoki57384 жыл бұрын
Fridge Freezer is was about the post the same thing they are using ddpm which where probably made during desert storm, we need to start standardising mtp fully
@MattF_034 жыл бұрын
They probably have the mtp chemical suits in stock just there is no point in wasting them in a training exercise
@mikeymarmalade7 жыл бұрын
Glad I don’t have to do these exercises anymore. I see they have newer respirators. Let’s hope the NAPS have improved too. I was a CMT .
@wittyreviewer7 жыл бұрын
Is all that kit as cumbersome as it looks? Somehow I don't think they'd be running around very quickly in it.
@mikeymarmalade7 жыл бұрын
You would usually drop your backpack and keep on your webbing in contact. At least we used to. We had a medic bag to carry too. Yes very heavy but soldiers train with it.
@wittyreviewer7 жыл бұрын
Makes sense. I suppose the benefit is whatever your protecting yourself from is also effecting whoever you're fighting against. Stupid question, what's in those backpacks anyway?
@ewanwhite46447 жыл бұрын
The CBRN kit is a bastard. Hardest tab I ever done was in CBRN kit. Sweat was flooding my respirator haha.

Most armies don't produce a lot of CBRN gear in all camouflage patterns. If you've seen US mil media on CBRN training you'll see that they are still wearing gulf war MOPP suits most of the time.

Helios Sphere No they use M.T.P (multi terrain pattern) not multicam. What your seeing is a dpm on the chemical suits.
@oarch4ng3lo7 жыл бұрын
Everyone uses mtp, they were probably using older (dpm) and desert for excersise purposes
@陳英知Fred7 жыл бұрын
I guess it's because there're too much DPM/DDPM suits in storage...I dont' think tories should cut the expense of our armed forces,for next advance-level conflick,our lads would use Lee Enfield fight against enemy.

Why wouldn’t they use the SAS that are already trained for these situations, it would save the government a lot of money
@LambdaVideos6 жыл бұрын
Because the SAS aren't applicable for every task; some units within already existing sections of the military like these Marines train specifically for CBRN threats whereas the SAS may not. Also, there are supposedly many more Royal Marines than there are SAS troopers.
@nemesi88006 жыл бұрын
SAS is for really deadly situations that can cause significant damage.
@tomsoki57384 жыл бұрын
Because they are a very small and specialist special forces unit and they can’t respond to every threat that comes up especially if it might not be an actual hazard also if there is a large scale chemical or nuclear attack on London for example there isnt enough troops in the SAS to deal with it so they want the most CBRN trained troops they can get
@MrRooibos1234 жыл бұрын
The SAS is designed for infiltration and stealth and is relatively small. CBRN training is so that more regular troops can clean up contaminated areas.
@british11394 жыл бұрын
This is for a larger scale conflict, say an all out war with Russia, or something. UKSF are designed to infiltrate into places larger units just couldn't, not raid entire airbases filled with chemicals, or respond to an urban chemical attack, aiding civilians, etc.
