I don't even play RuneScape, but I do have an amateur interest in economics and I think the markets in games like RuneScape and TF2 provide fascinating little case studies in how emotion, speculation, decision making, application of resources for practical use, and game theory intertwine and apply both IRL and in game.

Would you go into further detail about production of in game items, eg. mining, runecrafting, etc, and the volume of items in game? Prices might be falling on a commodity because of a change in loot tables, or the creation/modificatin of mobs or new content, causing an increase in output-- but this might result in falling prices. Would be interesting to track experienced gained per capita as a function of changing prices in commodities used for grinding.

I still relate to your comment in another video you can make way more money just flipping than investing. Being consistent is much more reliable than timing the market Thanks for the videos take care!

Totally agree Roman! Flipping daily with overnights is my preferred method. Its more work, but its safer profit and you can still make bank. Cheers man

One question. I'v seen others youtubers say that investing once they post and update is not good.Why is that? Srry for my english.
@Scapenomics Жыл бұрын
It depends on how many posts have already been made, and how close the update is to releasing. For example, when a blog post comes out, certain items related to the post will spike. This will happen again with future blog posts as long as nothing negative is announced on the item. If its the third or fourth blog post and the update is close to releasing, it may be too late to invest. Hope this helps!

How long should i leave a buy offer in before giving up and trying a different item?
@Scapenomics Жыл бұрын
This is investment related, so its a bit different. In an investment scenario, you may leave a buy offer in for a week or more. All depends on your investment plan
