Thanks Tom and Tom. As the owner of a new for-profit scrap business I found this interesting but admit I wished for more. I'm learning so much in real time as I grow this new biz.

Great video! A lot has changed since my days as a kid back in the 70s, collecting cans and bottles for extra money. Now, I do it, on a larger scale, to supplement my VA disability income. I was an electronics repair tech in the AF; I also repaired TVs & home appliances on the side, so I learned early on where all the copper and other precious metals hide. Thanks to the iscrap app, I found an excellent yard with great staff; I get great prices for my metal, and the guys are always more than happy to answer my questions. Thanks for putting out the great videos, because they are also a big help!

Thank you Tom & Tom. Your videos are friendly, clear and universally informative to all participants of the industry. I represent an “aggressive” Asian low-grade materials buyer. That is the exact description that I use (positively) 😊. Just returned from 6-week US buying tour through ~100 scrap metal facilities. Met lots of great industry people and learning lots everyday. Thank you for providing the foundation to support my clarity and understanding!

Great video. I'm just a small time scrapper but I clean almost everything except iron so I feel the more I can learn the easier it is to come up with ways to be more productive thus making more money. Thanks for a great video.

I wonder how scrap yards find customers/buyers? I guess you still have to go to see the "other party" to verify and validate what you are getting into?

Hey, I'm a student in business studies and I've been interested in the scrap metal business lately, I know it's very lucrative in a place such as the US but do u know any other countries that have a exponentially good scrap metal side?
@iScrapApp Жыл бұрын
Many developed countries have good downstream markets. Under developed countries have less infrastructure- thus less scrap.

I am currently working on e-waste. Ican only get as much material I can physically process. So I want to hire someone to help me. Every day i further my experience in gold recovery. (Working progress) I'm just in a place now where I don't know whats the next step to make my "hobby" to a career/business.
