While I love The Clone Wars show with every fiber of my being, once again, we see one of its very few flaws, not including other Dark Acoylets besides Ventress in the show, like Ssev'rance Tann over here. I mean I get why they didn't want to include too many Dark Acoylets, both for overcrowding the cast and having too many fallen Jedi would once again make it seem like our heroes wouldn't be able to win the war this way, but they still could have included at least one or two more, or just have one of them betray the Jedi during a battle and die during the battle like Krell.

I wonder if Tann reused the same droid battle group during her entire campaign. Maybe an experienced droid army performs better than fresh ones. Captain Panaka did say (paraphrased) “we’re no match for the Federation’s battle-hardened droid army” implying that said army had been through several conflicts and aren’t pushovers. (0M-9 being a testament to that) Plus it would be cool to hear a b1’s story and thoughts on their commander, before getting wiped out.
@minicle4262 жыл бұрын
A B2 does seem to act as her second in command during the Campaign.
@matthiuskoenig33782 жыл бұрын
It's been Canon in both the EU and Disney stuff that droids can clearn and get better over time and that the cis was held back by constant memory wipes of their droids due to old corperate mandates (which as it turns out we're set up by the sith in order to have greater control over the future droid armie's strength) and that when separatists deviated from these mandates their droids preformed better. In one comic B1s dominate arc troopers (with the explanation that they were rapidly tranfired from another battle and so their commanders didn't ahve time to wipe their memories, which allowed them increase in skill)
@ramblinnernd59052 жыл бұрын
To take out arc troopers sounds a bit extreme.(I guess they’re the equivalent to commando droids) I would also think that a few droids could get past having a memory wipe leading to the acquirement of a personality while also outperforming their wiped brethren and earning a promotion. B-1-224 for example being promoted to commander or that nameless B-1 who took out a whole squad of clones with a single grenade. I don’t doubt that ARC troopers could be killed with overwhelming coordinated firepower but I would think their resourcefulness would help them out of a tight spot, but I guess not every time…

Wonder why the Republic didn't try and produce more of the Decimators. I presume they at least captured some of the Separatist production lines intact which would let them recreate it to some degree. they at least had a few destroyed ones. It seemed to have been an extremely effective weapon; certainly moreso than a lot of other ones used in the Clone Wars. I also suppose that Sevrance didn't have time to get some of the blueprints to Dooku to allow for other Separtist worlds to construct it. Could put it at the feet of Palaptine if one needs an 'in-universe' thing. The tank was too effective and would have been a huge force multiplier in combat for whomever had it. Palpatine needed the Clone Wars to be a grinding slog of attrition and to exhaustion. A decisive weapon would make that much more difficult. Ergo I'm sure any 'remaining' ones were buried.
@samueldimmock6942 жыл бұрын
The person who captured the planet with all the production lines was falling to the Dark Side and probably didn't care about capturing anything intact. Also, it's possible that Sevrance didn't want to give the plans to Dooku because she wanted to keep them for herself--she was Dark Side too, after all. But you're right about it largely coming down to Palpatine wanting more collateral damage, particularly among the Jedi.

If one thing can be said for THIS franchise. They seem to have more superweapons then almost every other SciFi franchise combined. If you took ALL the Superweapons in this franchise, formed them into one intergalactic Doomsday unit then sicked them on almost any other franchise they'd decimate if not outright destroy the whole opposing franchise. This weapon though... Is anyone that's NOT Palpatine competent in running this war?? How bad must you be to let info an then your superweapon itself fall into enemy hands without plenty of trump cards to hugely sabeutage such things. He'll if they REALLY wanted to be nasty make them tanks with an automatic function an programmed to ATTACK IMMEDIATELY any CIS forces it detects an/or can find on activation. If no allies are around it determines. Or something genius like that.

When it comes to Star Wars superweapons Star Forge for the win because while the Star Forge is a evil artifact of the dark side why would it construct the Star Forge Robes for the Jedi because if the Star Forge is a evil artifact shouldn't it be focused on corrupting Jedi to it's evil cause not giving them Robes that Jedi could wear without fear of taint or corruption just something to think about because I don't think the Star Forge is all that evil if it generates the Star Forge Robes in limitless supplies.
@samueldimmock6942 жыл бұрын
The Dark Side is all about control, and Rakatan technology was kind of the epitome of that. It did exactly what you wanted it to, and if that meant making light-aligned robes, so be it. Its corruption was much more macro-scale: just being in the Star Forge had a corrupting influence, just like all other Dark Side nexus points, and during the height of the Infinite Empire its influence probably spread much further.
@samueldimmock6942 жыл бұрын
@@kyleslavik6324 I completely agree, and I really wish someone would bring in an Infinite Empire splinter group that used the Light Side and just have them as a third party in the New Sith wars or something.
