Correction. The Afghan war didn't create Pakistan's deep state. Pakistan military state was present at the creation in 1947. The war fortified the military state. This is a Jihadi state within a state. The Jihadi state is a state of its own with its own economic sector. Military generals ensure that soldiers of Punjab are well-fed. They are paid by the American tax-payers via lenders from the I.M.F. They are not accountable to anyone except to the Americans. If push comes to shove, all the military generals defeated in all wars could be obliterated via drone strikes. Thanks to Artificial Intelligence. Hope lies with the A.I. Not in the Junkyard created for the degenerates now dwelling in Punjab.

Nice talk. Debacle in religion realm has always been a phenomenon of oscillation. Remember I m saying religion, not Deen. It has been fuelled by power factor, engineered through Concept of Hegemony . Early rift between caliphates after conquest of Mecca sowed the seed of discontent which later reshaped in forms of Umayyads and Abbassids that gave rise to academic understanding of Islam, resulting in Tafaseer and traditionalist Muslim hood emerged out of this chaotic scholastics. All this journey did affect other countries and afghan pakhtuns were not an exception. The speaker to my comprehension of the embraglio has not attached any relevance of this issue to religion and its political role. KSA , being a proxy actor for US has in connivance with gulf shores states did try to transport their version of otherwise pro human and peace loving Deen of Islam which gave impetus to sectarianism and anarchy reigned supreme. The discussion seems revolving around the same stereotype approach as coined by Punjab based intelligentsia that left over the pertinent subject of sovereignty. Then the traditional mindset promoter I mean Mullaism , rise of madrassah culture , role of proxies, dollars game nurtured by Ji and Jui with modern version in shape of Imran Khan etc are missing. Najam Sethi et al were students in England and they didn’t start a precursor to ANP! NAP was a party in the 1960s, which was completely different from what he is saying. Also, Bhutto didn’t release Hyderabad conspiracy people, Zia did it. He also talks about the great game and anti-imperialism without any facts. Terribly reading of history.
