Am I the only one who was massively pissed off with this loss? Respect to Argentina who're no joke atm, but this Bok team had no business losing to Argentina. Especially with a 17 point lead. I don't see how making 10 changes, losing the chance of a grand slam and putting yourself in the position of possibly losing the RC helps more than if we'd played a slightly stronger team, won the game, and tested a few players. Not 10 at once. Feels like the loss to Wales at home those years ago. What did that test actually tell us? How can you test the quality of a player if he's surrounded by other green players also being tested out. I'd say the only thing we really learned is that Libbok can't handle the pressure kick situations like a Sasha or Pollard. Counter point, I guess if you'd sent a full strength side and lost then this week would be even more pressured, but I very much doubt a full strength team with the likes of PSDT, Kolbe, Eben, Kolisi, DDA, Malherbe, Bongi, etc, would have lost. Counter counter point. The injury list is effed atm. I guess in some ways he's had his hand forced. Mostert, Lood, Klein, RG, Faf, Williams. Makes a big difference. Still. I'm just really annoyed we don't have the RC in the bag with the Grand slam.

Spot on, Sacha is our best defensive flyhalf, he can kick and play a running game. We don't have anybody that is close to him at flyhalf at the moment. Maybe Hendrikse and Masuku should also be given a chance.

The Boks had a reputation of winning tight games when under the most pressure and it comes down to that 1 kick to win. Some players thrive on that intensity, Libbok is not that player. Saying it wasn't just that kick that lost the game is like saying we didn't beat France, England and NZ by 1 point from slotting goals or NZ losing the final wasn't because they missed the posts or that Kolbes' conversion charge down against France didnt affect tge outcome, like saying the Sharks didn't beat the Lions because of that last kick or that it wasn't because of Irelands' drop goal that beat the Boks. It's all excuses, that 1 kick regardless of anything else in the game was all we needed, that's it and it was a simple kick!!! Not a 60m kick.

It is Manie's inconsistency and not able to produce under pressure that the Public is talking about. His running game also change, he is not running straight, he runs sidewise and the outside space created by the new Tony Brown impact get to small to be effective. To Rassie's point. a Player have to fit and qualify or sorry you are not in the team. Let Manie go back and he have to perform for the Stormers.

I’m super confused about Salmaan Moerat. I haven’t seen any great skill from him let alone captaincy. What does Rassie know? Does Salmaan deserve it? How is this affecting the team subconsciously? Also, was I the only one to see how the conditions in Santiago affected the Springboks? I think everyone underestimated the effects on those conditions. It’s the humidity that South Africans are not used to. Not the temp. That’s where the game was lost I believe. Nelspruit will show it. Go bokke. Peace.

I get it, he missed an opportunity to win the game and should be held accountable. What I don't get is the fact that the first two tries by Argentina both came from missed tackles by Handre Pollard and 3 tries (including one of these) from missed tackles / poor positional play by Marco van Staden. We conceded 4 tries (26 points) in 21 minutes which is as many tries as we conceded in the previous FOUR games combined, made 34 from 46 tackles in the first half at less than 75% success rate, missed a number of lineout, all while Manie was sitting on the bench, yet he is the one taking the brunt of the criticism. Pollard got 1 from 2 against Australia, but we had already won the game, Sacha missed a sitter at Ellis Park but we had a 4 point advantage, but when Manie fails to undo the crap we got up to in the first half, it's all his fault. What sucks more than the opportunity he missed, is the blinkered tendency for Bok fans to pin all fault onto whatever player they don't like, whether it is accurate or not.

SA team not fit enough. The forwards can't play 80 min. I believe the reason for it is the Bom Squad. Not many of the players play more then 55 min. You need game time to get game fitness.

Manie has never been a good goalkicker. Since his days at the Bulls and Sharks he showed that goalkicking is not something he is good at. If we go into a test with Manie as our goalkicker and we lose then we deserve to lose. We know he can't be trusted with the kicking. The denial is unbelievable. It is interesting how no one points to the fact that, if Pollard had not missed a conversion, the Boks would have won by one point. We are also not looking at the fact that Mannie actually scored a penalty that took us closer to the possibility of victory. Every one is on Mannie's case...Granted, he missed at a crucial moment, but the team could have done better and not brought it down to that kick as decider. Lets hope they do better this coming weekend.

Probably because pollard's kick was in the corner.. manie's was in front of the poles. And one of them controlled the game while the other only kicked mediocre high balls. He adds nothing into that team. And don't bring up his converted penalty, it was a super easy kick. He also kicked a ball dead. He is not a good player, had his chances and failed every time, no place for him.

Very wallit points I read here. Will either bring Jordan Henderikse in on bench to play 10 or 15(or Siya Masuku). Jordan can replace Pollard or Willie and has played a couple of games at 12 for Lions, many at 10 for them, and now 15 for Sharks. If Manie has to come on then Pollard must go to 12, DeAllende to 13, Kriel to 14, Arendse to 15. Or Willie off and Pollard to 15 - less disruption. We have forever now must have a reliable place kicker on the field. Manie also after a penalty kicked the ball dead behind the corner flag. This prevented a line-out and maul for possible winning try. Manie played for the Argies and not for Bokke. He has also never set the back-line on fire for Stormers and Bokke against a strong team. His attacking skills are a total exaggeration. At Twickenham 4 tries by forwards and intercept try by Arendse !

It’s hard to defend Manie. .. I remember when Damien was playing and at 10 and missed kicks, he was moved away from 10. Mannie missed kicks at the World Cup before Pollard came back. Now the performance of the team could have been better, but when at test level you miss kicks and they become the difference between winning and losing, you are asking for trouble. The Argentina kicker missed a few, as well, but how many matches where the boks lost and could have won if the kickers slotted their goals (WC vs Ireland could be one of the those matches). Also Manie misses the kicks that are deemed easier.which is frustrating. .

No Libbok cannot come off the bench to miss high pressure kicks. No thank you! But also many players were poor. Steenekamp couldn't win a scrum and conceded the penalty for not rolling away. Am missed an important tackle in the second half. KLA with a poor yellow card. Moerat is scared and is clean at the end of each game. Van Staden missed an important tackle. The rest were average .The only players who were actually good were Nche, Fassi, Etzebeth, Reinach and Hendrickse

You are seriously in love with Manie. You can't be a Springbok fly half if you can't kick at test level with BMT!! HOW do you not understand that? Let him go back to Stormers, work on his kicking and demonstrate (1) longer kicks, (2) less errors, (3) higher conversion rate from more challenging kicks, (4) after 3, an 80% + conversion rate. Be fair to Manie, stop spoiling the okie, and let him go and fix his game. Otherwise he must play centre.

The denail around Manie and Moerat is unbelievable. Manie has never been a good goalkicker. Since his days at the Bulls and then Sharks he was never known for his goalkicking. There is no way you can trust Manie to kick you to victory. I find the denail unbelievable. The stats are there for everybody to see. What more do you need? A writen letter from Manie where he admit that he is not a reliable goalkicker? If we lose the Rugby Championship because we trusted Manie with the goalkicking, then Rassie can pack his bags and fark off back to Freestate or Ireland, I couldn't really care.

I find it strange that no one blinks an eye if Pollard misses a kick at goal AND has an average game but gets away with it. But Libbok misses one and all hell is loose. Granted, he needs to slot those but the rest of his game was good. But, yeah, maybe he does miss some of that essential BMT.

The difference is pollard makes it up normally. Libbok just sinks deeper into a bog. Drop the fcker.

Think the difference was, that the kick was right in front. And Pollard can have a bad game, followed by a good game. People are struggling to remember Libbock having a good kicking game. His kick percentage has dropped to 40%. So he is more likely to miss them. I'm hoping he goes back to Stormers, plays the occasional game at 15, and we see him grow into that role as an extra play maker.

I feel that the entire Springbok side let us down on Saturday past. It doesn't take only one player to lose a game. Yes, Libok messed up with that possible match winning kick. But in the same breath, i would like say that I agree with most of the comments above that Libok needs to go back to Stormers and relook at his kicking abilities and just decide to stay there for ever.

Is Damian Willemse not coming back since he is ready? Sacha knee injury Juan kleyn is ready RG is ready I dont think wessels will play or du toit. Steenekamp was so much better. I promise this today if moerat and Manie play we can kiss the cup goodbye. Wiese had a phenomenal game dont see why he wont start. I think louw will be playing nr 20 and dixon wont play.
