Not to mention Nixon getting blown out by Kennedy in 60, if you aren't abusing future "Nixon is a crook" knowledge he's the incumbent VP of a super popular pres during good times. It's at least as close as historical if you are not abusing the Nixon is a crook knowledge.

@notthebeastinus27865 ай бұрын
Gonna be honest, Al Smith dodged a bullet by losing. The Great Depression was going to happen no matter what, as the rest of the world was going through. It ruined Hoover's reputation. The reason why it was so bad in the US was because Hoover's and FDR's policies exaggerated the effects. If Al Smith had won the democratic nomination, he probably would've resolved it within his first term and it would have been remembered as a recession.

When it comes to FDR, I don't hate him, he helped mend the G.D. but the government expansion hurt in the long term. I see 2000-2015 as pretty much always two sides to the same coin. Corrupt warmongers but with a liberal or conservative bias so I'd probably just throw it to the conservative in general (except for Bush Jr., I'd rather not vote in his elections or just throw it to a third party). 2016 and 2020 I go with Trump. Really wish Perot won in '92, dude was killin' it. Trump learned from him that he had to go with the big 2 to have a chance at winning.

@sebastianjimenez545526 күн бұрын
@@alexyang1332 No, those 2 Democrats didn't have the same values the party has today, if we compare Kennedy with, for example Biden, Kennedy is a lot closer to a Republican from today than to a Democrat (Kennedy was very conservarive compared to today, he actually respected his own believes and God, thing that apparently Democrats forgot how to do). Now, Obama basically made almost the same campaign promises as Trump in 2016, the thing is that Obama got a lot of Republican vote for that, and the fact that McCain and Romney were probably the worst Republicans to run for president. That and all the progressive bs Obama has said he started saying it almost at the time he had already left the office. All of that Republican vote went to Trump whem he started to sound like a real Republican, not like Romney or McCain and has stayed with him because, differently to Obama, who broke a lot of the promises that Republicans like (reason for a lot of Republican voters to be disenchanted by the Obama administration), Trump has enforced almost all of them. And, let's face it, voting for Hillary, Biden (Mr. Worst Inflation) and Kamala (Ms. Vice Worst Inflation) is like voting for Carter twice, you would have to be either too dumb, too masochist or too democrat to do it, since he was the President that caused the buggest inflation at that time, Trump's opponents are an equivalent of that, with the difference that Biden's i flation was worse than Carter's.
