A suction jet pump is a Venturi nozzle (constriction) in the induction pipe.
If the flow in a tube is constricted, the medium flows faster at the restriction. At the same time, the pressure drops. If the tube is opened at the restriction, this vacuum “carries along” the surrounding liquid.
The suction jet pump is designed to convey fuel from one half of the tank to the other. Without its own drive - solely due to the force of the flowing medium.
