Dunno if you figured it out yet, but the reason your yellows were all funny is because of the green-screening you had going on behind you being also applied to the rest of the screen. Loved the breakdown, definitely learned a thing or two.

Just watched the trailer before I watched this and OMG. It so lovely, entertaining and humorous. And this is just a masterful break down of everything. ✨

Today we learned that a lot can go wrong when recording live. :D Thanks for the insights! Did the developers give you access to their tools for that special camera shot or is that normally possible in the game? And I think you have answered this before in a different video, but did you read all of the dialog to get these specific moments?
@DerekLieu2 жыл бұрын
Yup I had a bunch of debug options and they added some thing just for me like being able to rewind and redo actions with the HUD off. I played as much of the game as they were ready to show and chose dialogue from those scenes. Some dialogue was slightly customized for the trailer, too!

@@DerekLieu Oh, I see, that's a good idea to tweak some text to be more presentable.

mmmmm. Love that reuse of the window montage at 6:44. In some ways, this feels like another in-depth trailer for TBW. Not exactly a developer commentary, but an in-the-weeds gameplay trailer of sorts. With enough cuts and style to give it pacing. There were a lot of sound effects I didn't notice in the original. Did you make them louder since you removed the music?
@DerekLieu2 жыл бұрын
Not louder, just easier to hear with no music 👍🏼

@@DerekLieuWill it be okay if the trailer has copyrighted music?

Hey Derek, I loved the video your pacing is fantastic. I wanted some help with music for my trailers as most music isn't free to use. What site would you recommend for copyright-free music that I can use?
@DerekLieu2 жыл бұрын
If you want good music you're going to have to pay something unless you have a very generous composer friend. Royalty free sites like Premiumbeat.com will charge around $30 or more per track, but their music is only ok. I'd google around for royalty free music sites and use the keyword "cinematic" to find something good. There's very little which is completely free to use. Look also for Creative Commons music which requires you cite the name and source wherever the music is used.

Interesting. I went and watched the trailer once before watching the video. Some feedback: I missed the title at the start because I was full screened and the text went too fast before I could stand back and read it. For some reason the rewind mechanic didn't register either, I just thought you had restarted the level, and wanted to show how things could go bad if you didn't plan accordingly. I didn't see the cat, as I was reading the text. Maybe it was too low relative to the frame?
@DerekLieu2 жыл бұрын
That’s totally fair! The pacing is a bit too fast, for some of the text. But what you gained from the rewind section is still in the right direction, so I’ll take it 😅
