Then Blizzard complicated her role as a mysterious entity by making her more of a forefront in the storyline. Now, she is the sister of the Winter Queen, she inhabits a vessel by giving them Super Saiyan powers powered by vengeance, she can command souls and seemingly has a role in the cycle of life and death (she sent the World Tree souls to Ardenweald to renew it but death machine broke so they got dumped into the Maw), and still somehow maintains her motherly character. A lot of her allure came from mystery, but now that that veil is lifted, what we're left with is kind of an uninteresting character and mythology

Except they werent, many tribes before the corruption were already warmonger tribes and conflicts were usual between orc tribes. Also, the constant war against Ogres...and how some orc tribes also attacked Draenei unprovoked. Some tribes were like Drek'thar claimed, but he was speaking from his own perspective, as he was part of one of those tribes. Orcs are interesting as they have quite a varied culture and are not just an homogeneous race.

I always thought Baine would have something to do with the night fae covenant. Seeing as we got Huln in the 9.1 night fae quest made me excited. No everyone else who got captured was doing something else. Jaina talking with Uther. Thrall and his mom. Anduin off to the giant picknick in thw sky with the jailor. Heck they even replaced baine with bolvar in the raid fight. They did our boy baine dirty.

@@PrimarchRoboleonFrenchyman Actually I was seeing it more like 4 factions : Horde (Orcs Trolls Tauren) Alliance (Humans, Dwarves, Gnomes) Forsaken (Undead, Blood Elves, some other race) Kaldorei (Night elves, Furbolgs?, some other race) In my mind, the Night elves joining the Alliance was not justified enough, they were strangers that yes, fought with them at mt. Hyjal, but also encroahced upon their sacred lands. They also proved themselves competent enough to repel most invaders by themselves (excluding the legion of course). So them being their own thing makes more sense imo. Plus, WoW was kickstarted thanks to the incredible success of Warcraft III, so surfing on the concept of 4 playable factions wasn't really far-fetched.
