Honestly that first 808 isn't even bad imo, different beats need different sounds. If it clashes with your kick because it has its own little kick in the original sample, just add sum attack and EQ to it. If it lacks mids, put some distortion on it.. I get that your whole point is that soundselection is key, and I couldn't agree more. I just think that one of the most important parts of music production is to play around with different effects and plugins to really find your own sound, rather than just using samples as they are.. It's all love tho don't get me wrong, congrats on that placement brodie, shit slaps!🔥❤️
