Or you can take the exact opposite viewpoint: The universe is immense, but you, me and every single person ever alive have been trapped in the smallest, tiniest, minuscule dust particle so infinitely small that it could disappear any moment and nothing else would change at all. All humans are right now crammed together in an itty-bitty piece of rubble that might or might not be the only, last and single safe spot to life in an infinitely deadly void without boundaries. And we still have no safe way out of here. We're trapped. We're all forever be trapped. And the more time passes, the further and further away everything else will become. In a very relativistic sense, there's no difference between the universe getting larger, and us becoming smaller and smaller every second it passes. 😈

quite the opposite because you are still trapped inside the reach of earth. calustrophobia is mostly about freedom of movement, just like fear of height is mostly about surface to stand on rather than the actual height. you can be claustrophobic inside a cealed off stadium, or fear of height on a narrow pole 5 meters above surface.

Be there in the moment and reflect on whatever you wish. All that learning and never coming to the knowledge of the truth. The truth is that the earth is flat with a dome over it. The edge is antartica. The sun moon and stars are small and travel in circles above the earth. What you call planets are actually stars, so are comets. I love how this video brings home to us that we are utterly insignificant in the universe. Once upon a time it was believed that we were the center of the universe. Now we realize that we are in a nothing special area of the solar system, Hannah nothing special area of the Galaxy, and nothing special area of the universe. so check your arrogance at the door.

Oversimpliefied History of the World, should be really interesting for you Guys. But what i really liked, because of the adorable figures in the videos. From Suibhne - Animation film about the history of Germany, Amercians, Russia, Japan, Greece and so on. It is really adorable. And pedagogical value ^^

this always bring me back to a picture i once saw i think its called universe brain, but the image is of a rats brain cell compared to an image of the known universe and how eerily the same the images are. as if to say the entire structure of the universe looks identical to a brain and all its neurons.

The final « prospective » in this video is miscalculated… with its number 150 sextillion, it would be like placing our light bubble and the universe had a radius of 1000 times of the medium orbital disrance of the Pluto planet from the sun… not the radius of the Plato planet…

If a large mirror was placed in space 5 light years from Earth facing us and you had a powerful enough telescope. If you pointed the telescope at the mirror and looked Earth in the reflection. You would effectively be seeing the Earth 10 years in the past.

If you remember the Voyager photographie with the "mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam ..." and some people think they should have wars to conquer a tiny slice of it it takes all of this to another level of ridiculousity. Instead of working together to make our existence multiplanetary to avoid extinction at least in our own solar system we argue wich god is the right one to pray to. Not want to open up a religious discussion everyone should believe in what he / she thinks is right to do, but only saying some are completely fine to blow themselves up to take some others with them just because they are not the same opinion. Everyone should think about how the odds where to let you be born and not someone else, so be grateful, embrace what we have and enjoy your life and enrich someones other, instead of being destructive by any sense.
