I stumbled upon this video and learned something I didn't know. I came to the comments because I knew they'd be interesting. No offense to my fellow "White" human beings; but I knew some of you would make it about the color of their skin or if you didn't, you made mention of how "Americans" gave the Vietnamese a break or a chance to do what they do, as if you own the land, world, etc. (as always). Sorry to share that. It's not that I don't like you. I don't like how you've done things here.....just pointing out how you guys have always thought in America (your nature). Carry on.....

Most of the Vietnamese nail business owners today have no association with Tippi Hedren or her program she started, they simply took inspiration from what was already there as a business idea.

Tippi Hedren ruined the nail/pedicure salon business for hardworking American salon owners. Vietnamese do not adhere to any sanitation or cleanliness practices which results in cross contamination. Miss Hedren's humanistic pursuit did not benefit us....only the Vietnamese. I would never hinder anyone's search to make a better life here but this whole Vietnamese nail industry is a disaster for the general public.

Adele N As Americans we have welcomed in refugees from all countries. Vietnamese have a totally different mindset when it comes to living here. Have you seen the videos on of all of the horror stories that patrons of these Vietnamese salons have had?!? It’s shameful. This never went on with American salon owners, only with Vietnamese. Dirty is dirty!

Desert Diva is right they use MMA which is banned, The same files and buffers umpteen times wearing it down to a nub before they replace it. Use straight acetone (which will destroy your nail plate because using it on anything but enhancements is a no no because of how drying it is) They have never heard the word autoclave to sanitize their tools, they use a regular dremel with wood working bits to do acrylics, thin out polish well beyond its life expectancy. They rarely even use barbicide. The pedicure bowls are full of fungus and bacteria which has cost people their feet or left them with severe lasting scars. The whole industry changed from piped whirlpool jets like a jacuzzi to this pipeless crap that hardly massages the feet if at all and all because they don't want to clean. Bottom line is you get what you pay for and if the price is too low you're sacrificing something somewhere! The yelp reviews and pictures all speak for themselves, get your head out of the sand!

you shouldnt have a whirlpool bowl because it builds up bacteria extremely easily even with disinfectant. idk u guys just sound upset they can do nails fast and amazin for a cheaper price. not all salons are the same, you lump their standards all the same just cause of their race. i work somewhere that cleans exremely well and is nowhere near like this horror story you explain
