Gurley was awful; even when he had clear running lanes, he missed them. He would bounce outside his blocks before they developed, and you could see the running lane open up as he tried to 'make something happen' which always resulted in him tackled for a loss. Rams had opportunities in the running game with a smarter runner. Credit the Vikes with taking away Goff's preferred throws based on route concepts. Goff still has a long way to go. (He needs some fake checks for teams like the Vikings so he can pretend to check to a run, but stay in pass to burn the Vikings on their automatic counter-checks.)

I saw Gurley open on that last play during the game. After I saw Goff set up for the deep ball, I knew he just spiked his shot on a big gain. But the Vikings are very intimidating and distracted him from the checkdown plays LA uses to there advantages. I’m not worried about the loss. It’s sobering and we are gonna bounce back even if we don’t beat N’awlins. We got a tough schedule coming up, probably ending the season 10-6 at the very least
