From last season till now. Gil can always be found listening to Gerrit Cole. This is why he is leveling up.💯‼️💪🏾 Let’s Go Gil.

And this is precisely why fans are idiots when they whine about every single move that doesn't involve a star player. Every time the Yankees bring in a utility guy, a bench guy, literally anyone who isn't a NAME player, fans whine about it. And Cashman just keeps making these moves and turning them into gold.
@mikejay82325 ай бұрын
Excellent point!!! They refuse to give Cashman credit!! But we all know if Gil was garbage them same fans would be killing Cashman!!

I bitched about not wanting ikf and I was right this isn't a zero sum game ngl your comment is pretty foolish no one complains about moves where Cashman swaps minor leaguers

Cashman is good at small ball but then he signed DJLM (extension), trades for Gallo/Donaldson, IKF, Stanton, Rizzo, etc Instead of say, for the same price per year... Bryce Harper and Freddie Freeman which easily could have cost the Yankees 1 or 2 titles in the last 15 years.

Tbf... there's lots of teams that have good young talent that suck. Don't u think guys like Judge, Soto, Stroman among others are big reasons the yanks are doing so well? My pt is the yanks built with a mix of guys...as far as the way they were acquired and built .

He is who the Dodgers hoped Yamamoto would be.
@climbinghenge63825 ай бұрын
You haven’t watched Yamamoto, take out Yamamoto’s first game where he had a ERA 45.0 , and his ERA drops to 1.78. In that first game the Dodgers tried to gage Yamamoto adjust how he holds the ball in his glove which led to this disaster. Yamamoto adjusted and went back to his normal routine and boom. Hats off to Gil he’s having a great year.

Jace Avina, who we got in the Bauers deal, is looking like a steal, as well. I'm surprised there's been so little talk about him. He's having a really nice season.

I can't blame minny too much.. look at how long it took for Gil to crack the lineup between injuries and other things... He was at a low level at the time.. this is a trade that surprises rather than anything else.
