Nice video. Was happy to see you both at Avenal and Warder Springs. I got to fly with Ramy on your return trip from just north of Warner to Crystal (where I turned back) -and also went to the border - before returning to Warner Springs. It was a heck of a day!

I remember Ramy and still recognize him from the Wings of Rogallo late-90's...and a bad day skiing at Heavenly? Front page of the local newspaper in front of the hospital was a story about the top-notch bone doctors they had on-staff. I should have bought a copy for him. -David Taylor

Northern tip of Sacramento Valley. Central Valley is the name of a region and not the name of a valley. It is like the Central Coast, the name of a region. The Central Valley region is made up of the Sacramento Valley in the north, San Joaquin Valley in the middle, and Kern Valley in the south.

@@8OrangePants Seriously doubt that....however he does make a point where the cities are...but rather picky! Such a great flight, you all have ships, performance wise, that give you all the confidence to fly to places that look very difficult. There were flights down south (from HH east of Livermore Airport @outermarker) in the 1970'-80's, but sailplanes then didn't have the L/D that yours do now. Sailplanes now are so beautiful! Lucky pilots! Keep having fun, do not ever be concerned about not making a goal.....I don't see that for you Orange Pants....too cool! I flew from HummingBird Haven glider port- Livermore 1956-1989, then Truckee CA. NCSA now at Byron Airport. Glider pilot 1957...power 1971...but always a glider pilot... too old to climb in and out! Toodie PS fly as much as you can....time goes by quickly

Mexico is 100% a no-go zone or is there a legal way to keep going south?

You can go with a flight plan and stuff. Just takes more effort and communication from what i understand.

Nice trip. A pity you have a lot of 'selfies' sections in your video, too much...
