The man who was trying to commit suicide, survived the fall and the man who was innocently just minding his own business walking down the street, died on the scene. I forget where it happened. It wasn't in the US, and I've spent the past 15 minutes looking for it.

I feel from a ski lift once, me and my brother were playing and he accidentally pushed me off and I managed to grab the bottom of the chair as I feel and I was hanging 27 feet, I held on long enough and swung myself off the edge near a pile of snow and thankfully I was fine 🤣 kind of a crazy story though. I remember falling off a skii lift because the cable jammed and the entire lift jerked forward, fell about 75ft into about 3ft of snow and shattered my tailbone and 4 ribs. It took me about 5 minutes to be able to get on my snowboard on my belly and use it to slide myself down the rest of the mountain. Was only about a half mile up, at the most. Long story short nobody noticed this happen. Somehow. And by the time I'd made it back my abdomen was turning a dark bruised purple and I was coughing up blood. Thankfully by the time I'd come into sight of lodge someone had already called for an ambulance.

As I was midair on my way down to the water I felt my body leaning back and I couldn't pull myself forward to land right. So when I made impact with the water, I landed on my back and broke my vertebrate on my spine. I felt the crack instantly that I had to have broken something on my back.
