great video, really enjoyed the insights into how these massive trucks are built! but honestly, i think the design of some of these trucks could be more modern. i get that the classic look has its charm, but wouldn't it be cool to see a more futuristic style incorporated into them?

Western Star Trucks are nice years ago when they first went to where I use to work the problem i never liked making right turns was sucked the turning radius was not as good as making lefts was great. Of all the trucks I love a Peter built trucks for years to me was the rolls-Royce of trucks. I love the fact today before you order a truck first thing they need to know is what are you hauling and then they go into detail on what will work best for you in the real world they really make a truck best for your use.

I've driven most trucks out there and while Kenworth is my favorite, I did love the Western Star I drove. It was quite comfortable and didn't beat up my back at the end of the day. So I'd say WS is my second favorite, and I'd gladly drive one again.

Detroit muscle, I am a retired truck driver who drove a truck with a Detroit engine and I speak for myself and I loved it. It would put out 475 hp with the 10 speed manual transmission and 4:11 axles and the truck was a pulling machine.

I’ve driven Kenworth, Peterbilt and International. I love my 589 Peterbilt but nothing compares to the kenworth T680. The Peterbilt 379 is beautiful and the long hood is great. Kenworth W900 is also one of my favorites too but not a smooth ride. It’s built for work, not for comfort

If you take a look at the top line from Mercedes Benz Scania, Volvo, MAN and DAF you will see we in Europe have better line of trucks and all best cabs have flat floor and are well equipped for long haul travel, plus the engine are up too 780hp and it is a company in Netherlands that make over the trucks too long noses too, and my favorite is mercedes actors whit giggaline option

I like Mack but main issue is HP and Torque with a 13-16 speed tranny. Logging needs pulling power over rugged terrain with huge loads measured in cubic yards/meters not pounds especially for companies that never use public roads.

I have driven all the major brands, all day cabs. The brand name basically only includes the body, or cab, and frame. All the rest are components built by other companies. Peterbilt is very streamlined and a nice truck, but the cab is small. One of my coworkers was very tall and another was very large, but fit, but barely. Freightliner seems to be made cheap; the dash soon develops cracks and falls apart. Volvo is a big roomy cab, but it's odd to have to move my left knee over to crank the window in such a roomy cab. Mack's cab and dash seem to be "boxy", it's hard to describe. Western Star, Kenworth, and International are similar with no qualms, other than International's windshields were flat, which made it reflective to other drivers. That brand I drove many years ago, and they may have changed it since. I personally do like the toggle switches over rocker switches. The Detroit 60 series and Cat C12 were the best engines with best fuel economy and torque. Most had Eaton Fuller transmissions and were 9 speed, 10 speed, 13 speed, and 18 speed, all performed very good.
