That’s not nice. JP has been a clinical psychologist for decades and a superstar for several years. How down to Earth should and could he be? He has a sense of humour, too. It would be great if he embraced Christ and was born again like so many of us. He is so close!

Greetings from Israel, Becket and Sunita. My husband and I worked for three months in Kolkata late 2017/early 2018 to establish a small factory for producing digital audio players with audio Bibles and other types of Christian messages on them. We had an opportunity one day to attend a tent gathering of invited Hindus to hear the gospel. The preacher was native, dressed all in white garb as many of the attendees were, and there were flowers all around. He was teaching from the First Century Writings in a cultural context. It was a beautiful and enlightening experience for me, having myself come to faith on Atlantic Beach in NY via a lifeguard!

Happy birthday Beckett so thankful for you and celebrate your life today! 🎉how you use your channel and all that you’re learning to glorify God and encourage, exhort and challenge us! I actually just got back Saturday from a mission trip in Indonesia and witnessed all of this firsthand, especially in Bali where it is majority Hinduism. I had an interesting conversation with our cab driver who was Hindu. He was telling us about the daily sacrifices they make-you see them everywhere in front of the stores and buildings. And I told the cab driver “That’s the difference between Christianity & Hinduism- it’s interesting in your religion, you have to keep making sacrifices to your gods every day all the time. In my religion, our God made one final sacrifice for us!”

@maureenwm as an Indian Christian I would say pray first. Then speak about the assurance/security of salvation through faith from God’s grace. Many Indians today are coming to the Lord through the example of our Lord Jesus that He became a man to suffer like us. A lot of nonChristian Indians sometimes just add Jesus to their other gods so stressing that our Lord is jealous and fidelity is only to Him.

@leenieledejo6849 Ай бұрын
Why do you misquote Scripture? Here's what Paul actually wrote: "There is one God and one mediator between God and men: the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5) You are to get your theology *from* Scripture. Not fit your theology into Scripture by CHANGING WHAT IT SAYS!

@leenieledejo6849
@leenieledejo6849 Ай бұрын
@@Isaac-47517 YOU are the one who has left the New Testament to one side and believed in doctrines of man who make verses say what they DON'T SAY. It's insane to say "God is the mediator between men and God". If you want something even more clear-cut, look at all the times people affirm Jesus as the SON OF GOD and MESSIAH. Eg. John the Baptist, Martha, Nathaniel, God Himself (at the baptism and Transfiguration of Jesus when He says: "This is my SON") and Peter, whom Jesus calls BLESSED for getting his identity right: "When Jesus came into the coasts of Cæsarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying "Who do men say that I, the son of man, am?" And they said: "Some say that you are John the Baptist: some, Elijah; and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets". He asked them: *But who do you say that I am* And Simon Peter answered and said: *You are the Christ, the Son of the living God* And Jesus answered and said unto him: *Blessed are you* Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood has not revealed it unto you, but my Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 16:13-17) You deny the CONCEPTION and BIRTH of Jesus (have you read the birth accounts in the Gospels? Are you saying they're "pretense"?). He cannot be God AND son of God. He is one or the other. He said himself that the Holy Spirit was "upon him" (Luke 4:18) and God indwelt him (John 14:10-11). These proclamations make NO sense if he was God. Neither do the introductions and numerous verses in Paul's epistles where he distinguishes God *AND* Jesus Christ. And he says Jesus is "sitting at the right hand of God". God cannot die. God cannot be tempted. Jesus was tempted. Jesus died (if he didn't then there was either no resurrection or it was a pretense) So you are calling Scripture untrustworthy or you're calling God "a liar". People say "it's heresy" to say Jesus wasn't God but 1st John 4:2-3 & 2 John verse 7 warn about denying Jesus came in the "sarx/sarki" i.e HUMAN/CARNAL NATURE. According to the following verses, you are not "of God" and "not born of God" (i.e not a Christian: John 1:12-13, Romans 8:9), you are "of the antichrist [spirit]", God "does not abide in you", you neither love the son [Jesus] nor the father [God], you do not "overcome the world", you "make God a liar" and you have "no [zoen] life in you". "Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God. And every spirit that confesseth not Jesus is not of God: and this is the [spirit] of the antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it cometh; and now it is in the world already. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the son of God, God abideth in him, and he in God. Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is begotten of God: and whosoever loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. And who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the son of God? This is he that came by water and blood, [even] Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and with the blood. He that believeth on the son of God hath the witness in him: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he hath not believed in the witness that God hath borne concerning his son. And the witness is this, that God gave unto us eternal life, and this life is in his son. He that hath the son hath the life; he that hath not the son of God hath not the life. (1st John 4:2-3, 15, 5:1, 5&6, 10-12)

32:57 - I recently watched a short film on China's churches and they interviewed a pastor from underground church and another pastor from a more "official public" church and they both said the government does not allow them to speak about End Times or anything on book of Revelations😳🤔 which I found very interesting. That is why the pastors from underground churches decide to stay underground, so they CAN teach and preach the entire Bible, including end times.

I also would love to hear her thoughts on the various cults in America, as she seems to know about them, but didnt't go in depth on them. some of the cults have more buddhism-like beliefs - Christian Science in particular. Khun Chavoret Januboon, in his book about himself “The Last Executioner of Thailand” writes that he consulted with a Buddhist priest concerning the death penalties that he carried out. The Buddhist priest told him that it was best that the convicts died before they could sin further and therefore be reincarnated at a lower level than they would be if they died at this point. The death penalty was reinstated in Thailand after a temporary halt.

I grew up in a very small village about 80 homes in Burma. And there was a man who practiced witchcraft and we were told he has a Palm, and we were told he feeds the Palm with blood but we have never seen it. I knew the whole family and friends with their children. One day, the man’s relative has wedding in other town and he went to the wedding and stayed there like two weeks or something. He left his two daughters home to watch the house. And one day, the two daughters were taking bath near the house because we didn’t have showers in the house. They have water reservoir and that’s how they were taking bath. And the elder sister finished her bath and went up into the house and she noticed the door was kinda crack opened she asked the younger sister if she closed the door when went out and the younger sister told her she did close the door. So when she tried to push to open the door she saw a palm and that thing tried to catch her and she screamed and jumped out of the house. The whole village heard and came and asked her. And she said she saw a palm. Later we heard that the man sold the palm ✋ to someone else. One of the man’s sons later became Pator and he contacted my mom, requested that we would pray for his father because he is still practicing the old stuffs. I remembered the whole villagers were Christians except that man. I mean I never saw he went to church.

More practices are becoming accepted as normal in the west and more Christians are getting blindly drawn in. Especially when they claim to have medical/health benefits. Sunita I love 💕 you. Watch the video with subtitles to help understand what she is saying. She has a heavy accent.

If you ask the Japanese about the diference between Shinto and Budaism, they say the first is to be practiced for the living on earth, here and now, and Budaism is for the future, the after life.

One thing I wish she'd have gone into is the claim that these are the 'oldest religions '. There's a Christian convert from the Brahmin caste that says that for all the evidence, Hinduism doesn't go back farther than 200-300BC, so the claim is simply spurious on it's face

One problem with the yoga question is how does someone worship a demon or false god by doing something they consider as merely exercise? Isn’t worship an intentional act? Can you accidentally worship anything?

It depends because I would be concerned about the salvation of a professing "Christian" who had zero discernment about yoga. I would even ask why they're doing it because it's obvious that it's more than stretching. However, it's possible that a baby Christian or a teen could be roped into it. But "to whom much is given, much is required" so one would hope they wouldn't stay in it for long. It's not hard these days to find info on it. We are told to be "wise as serpents and innocent as doves". We're not supposed to blindly rush in and get involved in everything.

@ I asked this question specifically about yoga and not any other practice because all the other practices of Hinduism have very obvious religious meanings (such as Vedic sacrifices, initiation ceremonies for Brahmins, &c. and even touching the feet of elders), so it’s obvious that we shouldn’t follow them. As per the mythology, yoga is typically used as part of ascesis or penance in order to appease the gods you’re meditating on. It’s essentially used as a form of prayer. There’s tons of stories of various Brahmins, kshatriyas, even rakshasas (demonic entities in Hinduism) and incarnations of the gods propitiating various gods using yoga. Once the gods visit them, the ascetics ask them for various blessings, which can include anything basically. Yoga (specifically the kind of yoga I described above) requires intense focus and meditation. It’s not for the fickle-minded. I am convinced that you can detach yoga from it’s spiritual roots and use it merely as a form of exercise because it is really just a tool, not a channel for demons. The way it becomes a channel for demons is when you focus your mind on the demon (the gods in Hinduism, if you take the view that all false gods are demons), which I don’t think most non-Hindu practitioners of yoga are doing. Like I said before, worship is intentional. I am not convinced that we can accidentally worship demons via yoga.
