what you liked all the time in between the stuff you're trying to do? You like how bad the color was in our color TV? Minimum wage $4.75 where I am from in 1993? (its only 7.25 federal 20+ years later, so at least federal min wage is still roughly the same my state minimum wage was 20 years ago, how pathetic) All the fake additives to foods? Lack of quality cannabis? a future of politicians that broke the law through out their tenure(ok that hasn't changed much) lack of over site and regulations? Sitting around at night in the dark, waiting hours to fall asleep(if you don't like music) Waiting weeks and weeks for the book you wanted to be returned? Inability to check bus schedules or road maps on the fly? Most who say they miss the 90s was because they were kids and don't really remember them, I could literally go on for hours but I really shouldn't need to say everything to remind people the 90s sucked

90s were so cool
@ravinraven69137 ай бұрын
if you were too young to remember anything, maybe or in comparison to the 80s....but in all reality, there wasn't much about that 90s that is considered cool now, except to people who have hit that nostalgia age which I believe is somewhere around their mid life crisis moment. 90s was better than the 80s but compared to now or even the future, 90s sucked. That Technicolor was certainly horrible. Microwaves still took an hour to cook something, your teachers never thought youd have a calculator on you....the world has really changed most of them for better.

@faded1to3black7 ай бұрын
@@ravinraven6913 The 90s didn't suck. It was the last, best decade of American culture. The 2000s was the beginning of the end, and the 2010s on has just been a sharp decline. Movies were allowed to be experimental on a much greater scale, and didn't have to be billion dollar draws to be considered a big success. Nor did they have to have check boxes to meet certain quotas. The internet was new, but nowhere near popular enough to consume everything. People could sit on a computer for an hour or two, but kids were spending much more time outside being kids, than waiting around indoors, scrolling endlessly on tiktok, doing dumb challenges, constantly addicted to their phones. Everyone was more social back then, by necessity. We hadn't lost our abilities to think critically, and we could be friends with people who didn't agree with everything we said. It was the time for creative freedom unprecedented, the likes of which hadn't been achieved until then, and has since disappeared. Compared to now, the 90s was downright heavenly. The world has not changed for the better in most ways, and has in fact, become worse in several. The PATRIOT act, for starters. We live in a post 9/11 world now. Corporations have become significantly bigger, and more centralized, allowing only a handful of businesses in certain categories to survive. No competition, and trusts between remaining corporations is a generally bad thing. The surveillance state has only increased several fold. Banks are closing people's accounts if they share the wrong opinion on the internet. Everything is becoming politicized, and funneled into only one of two viewpoints. None of these things were prevalent in the 90s. Counter culture and true expression was also massive. Something that compared to today, no longer exists. Instead, we have "influencers" on social media platforms telling their millions of followers what the right opinion is. Critical thinking is no longer an option. And to make matters worse, we now have AI on the horizon, with people more than happy to outsource even more of their capacity to think and seek out information to a programmable AI bot. The housing market today sucks, the college degree cost has ballooned to insane levels, We just shut down the economy for a year which caused more harm than any good, inflation rates are through the roof, and we're inching closer to a WWIII. You're massively incorrect about the 90s, especially compared to today. Its a matter of fact, not nostalgia. Oh, and you're even wrong about microwaves. They were no slower than they are today. Microwaves are microwaves. The only thing that can change how fast they can cook a meal is in how many watts they use, and the wattage is no different in today's than from the 90s.

Unless you were the 1/1,000,000 who said they like to read and still reads today...Or forgot microwaves were just as fast as an oven. You needed a tv guide in paper form and had to buy it. Color TV was over saturated. Christian groups controlled what playing cards could be made, no demonic icons like they had in Magic The Gathering. I could go on and on, but if you're in the midst of a mid life crisis, you wouldn't over all agree, sorry. if it was the golden times for you, you must not have known they can make plastic gold color too, doesn't make it real gold.
