As an Australian I'll add this. Tony Abbott was one of the most unpopular prime minsters in living history, he was briefly replaced by Malcom Turnbull who was then replaced by Scott Morrison. The only Prime Minister to be more unpopular than Tony Abbott was Scott Morrison (all these prime minsters were part of the ruling liberal party at the time and got to power through party in fighting). Scott Morrison is as of this date, not the current Prime Minster having lost the last federal election to Anthony Albanese. Currently, Scott Morrison is still sitting in parliament on the back bench but has numerous scandals hanging over him and many are calling for him to quit politics all together. I will say this of Tony Abbott. During the nation wide fires of late 2019. Scott Morrison the prime minister at the time, left the country to have a holiday in Hawaii. When criticised for his lack of leadership, Scott Morison is quoted as saying "I don't hold a hose mate". You know who did? Tony Abbott. Tony Abbott is also a volunteer fire fighter and volunteered to help fight the fires. He didn't do it for publicity, he even requested media not to follow him. So to a point, who holds a hose? Tony Abbott holds a hose mate. I personally never liked him as a politician, but I respect him for his selfless volunteer work.

as the other said, very nice read. I don't always like certain politicians, but I do respect ones such as Abbott. like man, literally going to fight fires while his replacement's replacement is going to vacation in another country half way around the world, that's some pretty respectable shit to come from a world leader.

"Push all the buttons!" Yea I agree. Its the time spent pushing those buttons too. I didnt really start learning until i got hit by wannacry during the outbreak. At the time i was in highschool, and learning how to 3D model. All my projects were on my external harddrive which wouldve saved me... but i left it plugged in when i left the house for a 3 hour competition. Got back home to witness the black screen and red text the virus is known for. Over 200 hours of work was wiped in a fraction of the time. Had to do a windows reinstall, never had done so before. Luckily, my parents had a laptop and it was shutdown when i got hit. I'll never forget that.

About the books thing, once I was in university exam about stupid office stuff where they force you to learn every menu position and labels by heart, and the professor was allowing you to use their book during the exam (which is very expensive), since I didn't like to buy that scammy book I was stranded to take my luck, then it striked me an idea and I lift my hand in the air and ask the husband of the professor who also was a professor but helping his wife during the exam, I said "gee, I forgot my copy of the book can you lend me one", the professor so pissed went out the classroom unlocked the cabinet room took one of the books and he slam it on the desk :D. And I got my self 8 out of 10 mark for free :D.

My favorite "university book scam" is when professors write their own textbooks/reference materials and you're *required* to buy them as the edition can/will change every few years. If you are lucky, you can buy the book used from a former student but they will take advantage of supply/demand and ask for 75-90% of the original retail price. Yes, the professors will use different editions of the same book in the same calendar year to make it more difficult for students for find/buy used. I found this most common with the professors working off of a research grant and are *forced* to teach two classes a year to maintain their "faculty" status. No, I'm not bitter at all about it, not at all...

OMG the button talk makes so much sense! I've always pressed all the buttons and run all the programs to figure out what they do! I broke DOS and Windows on our computers more times than I can count! It also makes sense why I hate new Windows versions so much. I've pressed all the buttons to learn what they do. But now they're moving the buttons and making them do different things for no good reason! They take buttons away, hide them behind other buttons, or make them do something less than what they used to.

I had a suicidal/cutter gf that was addicted to watching people die on BestGore, I went into the Control Panel/System Settings, sytem32 I think was the folder, and told my computer that BestGore was hosted by our own IP, I haven't watched an innocent Columbian/Mexican Mother die in Front of her kids from a machete attack since.
