Yup the American dream is still alive. Americans don’t seem to appreciate it, but we immigrants do. My husband is from Sweden and I am from Mexico and we are doing great in our 30s.

i guess you probably mean in the sense that since he was an immigrant, he had no issue doing door dash and pizza delivery jobs as extra side hustle jobs even though he had a great education and career as an electrical engineer. I don't think many people brought up here would consider doing those kinds of jobs in addition to their engineering job.

Good for them. Yeah...to get rid of that much debt, you need to make $120k or more per year. That's the key. If you don't, you will never get out of debt. The choices you make when you're younger will affect you when you're older.
