Yup the American dream is still alive. Americans don’t seem to appreciate it, but we immigrants do. My husband is from Sweden and I am from Mexico and we are doing great in our 30s.

Yes, it's very nice to go out and see people who still have their moms and dads look at someone like me as if I'm living the dream just cause I get out of sports cars and speed boats People have no clue how great their lives are and just how little you need to be happy

They had to ability to start!!!! Many don’t have the ability. They also had a short period of time to complete this but for so many they will take multiple time the length of time to accomplish it.

It’s incredible how much determination and commitment can achieve. I just paid off one of my credit card. It was like a weight lifted off my shoulders. Like Dave always says: You gotta attack the debt with a vengeance!

No, some months we paid like $1000, because we also pay for my PA school. But other months we were on fire with 10-15k even. It was never consistent.

i guess you probably mean in the sense that since he was an immigrant, he had no issue doing door dash and pizza delivery jobs as extra side hustle jobs even though he had a great education and career as an electrical engineer. I don't think many people brought up here would consider doing those kinds of jobs in addition to their engineering job.

Good for them. Yeah...to get rid of that much debt, you need to make $120k or more per year. That's the key. If you don't, you will never get out of debt. The choices you make when you're younger will affect you when you're older.

@@megalodon1726 Exactly it doesn't add up. That would mean they were eating and living for free. There is no way that their side jobs would be able to cover living expenses for both of them, unless if they were living for free

@@Cab895 They were living in a cheap 400 sq ft apartment. If the side jobs brought in $2500/month and the day jobs $6000/month, they could live on $2500 while using the other $6000 to pay down the debt.

How about living with very little. I mean our weekly budget for groceries was only $50. I didn’t go out to spend on anything. Nothing was free. I worked like a horse.

They had money BECAUSE THEY WORKED FOR IT, not because they are "rich" and someone handed it to them!! The point of the video was about how hard they worked, and the work it takes to get it done!! The guy delivered pizzas and Amazon packages for god sakes!
