side note for me for later reference: yes we were in a situationship of no or little communication but sprinkles of love and hugs here and there and good energy. I tended to worry of being attached to something and getting my heart broken again and he was also trying to protect his heart since his past trauma had left him deelpy wounded. We bonded over our pain and brought comofrt and peace to another and this retraction was to preserve that peace perhaps. Pile 2. SO ON POINT! I am the vulture person and he’s the bee. Currently on no contact, I’m taking a few months break and removed focus away from our connection to fully work on my healing and working on myself such as my self concept. Pile 3: I won't go into too much detail. Thank you so much, because it really helped me know I did the right thing. He and I were together but he had some issues that he kept internalized. And they just... Really consumed him. I wanted to help, I really did... Nothing worked and it felt like I was more of a distraction to his problems than someone to help him work through 'em. I broke it off four months ago and let him know that he still had my love, but he HAD to work on himself. I heard through mutuals he's finally in therapy now and making baby steps, so I'm really happy for him, and I still think I did the right thing. What would've been our first anniversary together was yesterday. I'd been debating reaching out but I don't think I will anymore. I think this is the clarification I needed to trust that if he wants, he'll find me when he's ready.(Edit: Can you tell I didn't make it to the Megadeck before I wrote this?
