What is the rarest thing you would see in the realm of engineering, “Placements'', “Engineers attending the lectures'',” Engineers going on Dates'' or “they are passing all the exams in one go . .” though these all the rare but not the rarest, the rarest thing our engineering society come across is when they see a girl joining Mechanical engineering. We don’t know how this stereotype started of female engineering candidates only going to circuital branches like CSE, ECE or Electrical and not going to non- circuital branches especially in the mechanical, but what we can see now is the change and female candidates getting into Mechanical branches by choice pursuing their career.
To break this stereotype again we have Vernika, who is pursuing her undergraduate from IIT(ISM), Dhanbad in the Mechanical branch. After a clueless start in her first year, she eventually got into all the clubs and societies of the college. She was an active member of AIESEC and also took part in various competitions which various MNC organize for undergraduate students. This proactiveness of her made her participate in the TATA Women of Mettle competition, after clearing 3 rounds of the competition Vernika got an opportunity to intern with TATA steels. So, In today's video, she will not only share her engineering experience but will also let our viewers know about the women of mettle competition and how she prepared for all three rounds. She also shares some insights into the skills one can develop during this time and also encourages fellow engineers to take risks.
Watch this video if you are the one who is ready to take an extra step to make your college life more adventurous.
