Let's sum this up: 1. first carousel: bow pick up - good start, very flexible 2. early items + unit pick ups: bow, sword, vest - very flexible (more into ad bcs u dont wanna see a def. component for Spellslingers), Morgana is a no-brainer and then a couple more pairs - easy, no thinking required. 3. first augment: what we are looking for? (1cost): Lucian (c), Panth(S), Blitz(S), Ashe(C) | (2cost): Sivir(C,S), Pyke(C,S) Camille(S), Vi(C,S) - a lot of choices so its an ez skip for the first 3. Lulu is not selectable, and the Annie spot is bad because we don't have Lulu/Poppy or rod and a vest, Sivir(S) is ok at best because he doesn't have Infini units, I think he could roll here, but it's a solid start considering the early Morgana so he doesn't need to rely on traits early. 4. 2-1 -> 2-3: strongest board + standard positioning, simple 5. stage 2 carousel: no upgraded front line + 2 dmg items and 1 def. item so sunfire is an ez choice. 6. 2-5: you flip a coin and hope for the best (not facing robiv) 7. 2-6: you play your weakest board and go for 5 loss streak - I think you always change Sivir for a second Panth here - small mistake (robiv just fucked up badly here) 8. second augment: another no-brainer 9. 3-2: do you roll here or not? well, if you do and hit a Panth 2* and a Shen your board is obv. stronger but Panth 2* is not a huge power spike (bcs you have your items on Rammus + you have a front infini hex) and Yasuo 2* is a solid mix between frontline and dmg. You dont wanna spent too much gold here otherwise u play for a 4th at best. 10. stage 3 carousel: ez bow 11. 3-5: as Frodan mentioned he made a desperation play and went lvl 7 and I don't know why. With 69hp lots of gold and no pairs or key units to hit its just a waste of gold. Imagine he hit a Garen and a Samira as "key" units, there is no reason to sell your 2* Sivir to itemize your Samira 1* and Garen 1* is just slightly better than Rammus 1* here. At best, he saved 9hp. 12. third augment: good analysis from Frodan here. I think most players would have gone with Portable Forge here but, as he said, the ad dmg options aren't great so rolling here is the right descision. Scoped Weapons is the only viable augment here and now it's a game that plays itself. 13. the rest is really ez to play. He doesn't have enough gold to go lvl 8 and roll in 4-2, so you have to tank until 4-5 and then you just go lvl 8 and send it. Donkey roll every round until u hit everything. 14. stage 5: everything is upgraded so just rush 9 if you keep winning, no thinking required. Zzrot backline is intresting, but I have no idea why he put Panth and not Shen on infini hex. I think he played a good game, but the direction he was pushed by the game was pretty clear and there was no room for maneuver. I wouldn't call it a lowroll game, but with the competition it's not possible to reach top 2 with a lowroll game. Nevertheless it was a good video.

Pretty solid breakdown. I agree with the level to 7 @ 3-5 because he needs to start fighting for HP. Extra gold isn't what he needs at the moment. The main low roll is his opener which is difficult to manage from his spot. But your main points are totally valid. Thanks for watching!

Yeah true. TFT in the end of the day is still a luck game when the lobby have similar skill level. That’s why it would be pretty much impossible for anyone to win the world champion twice despite how good they are

@@Papapizepapeperoni sure, and ofc his skill let him transition that luck to a top 2 whereas I would’ve probably barely made top 4. But that doesn’t mean he wasn’t incredibly lucky. A few notes I made watching this video: - About that 3-2 rolldown, even though he had good econ from the lose streak, he already had Sivir and morgana upgraded. Rolling here would mean that he's only rolling for Rammus 2 (which he had to roll for 2 copies) and rolling for a shen for 5 infiniteam. All of that has to come with the thought of ''how much will he need to roll before any of this becomes reality'' and to me this is the biggest drawback, he was rolling for very specific units and if he missed his econ would be ruined beyond repair. - He hit a janna in his 3-5 rolldown and Im not a big fan of his positioning here. it looks like he was getting a lot of value from it but most of the shielded units did not take dmg until the shields expired. Imo that shield would have served better purposes if it was on his frontline (like what he did at 4-2)

Interesting that he chooses to duplicate the Pantheon rather than the 2* Shen throughout the game once he hits Great video as always, Frodan!
@shivdmanwii Жыл бұрын
i've had that same choice before and it mostly comes down to whether the frontline is tanky enough to last and what the enemy frontline is. Shen's cast does nothing but buy more time where pantheon's has a stun on it which may or may not be the difference between say an enemy garen casting and stunning your backline
@FrodanTV Жыл бұрын
Pantheon is generally a stronger clone than Shen because of the double stun + Panth actually deals damage. Like @shivdmanwii said, the second tether of Shen oftentimes isn’t that effective/impactful.

Isn’t not cloning Shen instead of Pantheon during stage 4 a big misplay?
@FrodanTV Жыл бұрын
Pantheon is generally the much better unit to clone in almost every situation outside of having Shen 2 and Pantheon 1. Two Shens generally aren’t that efficient since the second tether doesn’t do much. But the 2nd pantheon stun can be huge, especially if he gets true tank items and get repeated casts!
@lucaspereira6732 Жыл бұрын
@@FrodanTV Honestly I think it's debatable, stunning the frontline most of the time doesn't do much either, arguably less than a lucky Shen tether could do, and Panth is a bit less hp
@BP-xv7fj Жыл бұрын
It’s not low roll tho. Would love to see how a top level player would do if he didn’t hit the first belveth there. Cos that happens too often and that makes the different between challenger and naster

The two star bel veth was a pretty big highroll
@FrodanTV Жыл бұрын
He tried to push win streak and was forced to lose streak. Uneven streak and economy throughout the game + low HP. Items weren’t particularly great either. He also ended up getting contested in AD/Sivir/Infiniteam too despite the lobby showing mainly AP throughout the day. Pretty poor opener imo! If you’re evaluating purely through the late game stage onwards, he gets some key lucky situations, but that’s not the point of the video. If you lowroll all parts of the game you just go bot 4.

at 19:56 why was it not bramble and static morg for armor and Mr penetration?
@FrodanTV Жыл бұрын
Good question! Imo, He doesn’t really need MR shred since his comp is nearly all AD. Belveth also mainly works front to back so Morg is good enough for single target AD damage. Vow is also way better because he isn’t going for Tank Garen at all (sunfire and infiniteam emblem are bad defensive items), so he leaned into utility Garen instead.
@NoNamesoggynoodle Жыл бұрын
@Frodan I get Mr shred is not needed but are you aware of the Morgana tech with static? The 5 units shocked by static gets reduced armor 40 percent because it applies her passive just making it more consistent. But I guess protector vow for the faster cast and zzrot extra tank is what he wanted? And like you mentioned the bramble do seem low value in this case.

how is hittin a 2 star fiddle with 0 gold a low roll? Bellveth 2 with sivir support augment a low roll? hitting garen 2 with infni spat a low roll? Oh right, this title is just a clickbait.
@FrodanTV Жыл бұрын
His opener is quite poor and while some things went well, he had to struggle in the mid game and play it perfectly to get bailed out. If he low rolled EVERYTHING then he just goes bot 4 & there’s no point to explain what happened beyond that. In a game of TFT you are very rarely ever full blown low rolling. JukeYou played very well to make sure he could capitalize on every opportunity and maximize his chance of coming back. The fiddle 2* at the end doesn’t matter much btw. That’s just icing on the cake. Even not going 7th in this game is impressive imo.

TFT is much like golf. It’s common to perform worse while you’re improving because you have to break down all the your habits while incorporating new concepts. But once it clicks, it’s one of the most satisfying moments in gaming.
@FakeEgirl Жыл бұрын
i mean to be fair he really high rolled that belveth, the odds of getting 1 in that spot is preety low, not to mention that fast 2 star that was VERY unlikely.
