I remembered when this happened. It was very disappointing to a lot of friends who took part in the contest and went to the Roomies. Same could be said for Rec Room as a whole. I genuinely believe that Rec Room can be good and hopefully put effort into the events like they use to, but my gosh did the game really fall hard. The art, the video, and room contests really held the game up and inspired a lot of people to make an account, join the game and create amazing things. Now it just seems like a cash grab to the point that the game has really lost it's charm, spirit and energy from way back. This was really insightful though, and I hope that Rec Room can actually get their act together and start putting effort into the community again.

This was the first time I had been able to join a group and finish a room for the contest. It was so confusing and a little bit of a letdown when rooms were announced in video. It lost the excitement for the win. I am still happy to have participated though and glad that we won! I definitely feel they learned from this though as the Creator Gala had the feel of the 'roomies' so here is hoping the next contest brings it all back!

I'm pretty sure the reason why the contest was such a disaster was because it was run by someone else (I'm pretty sure it was GrumpoCorgo) and he never did a contest before so I'm pretty sure he went with what he thought was a great idea but instead it was a massive failure (I'm going by what I heard a year ago so please take it with a grain of salt). I actually have a friend who got into the roomies and he said it sucked.
