Just to explain why I meant I don't really count Gorgeous Moon/Infinite Corridor when I look at damage numbers is that they use a special effect to deal damage, instead of proper attacks that can be scaled up. This doesn't mean the weapons are not considered, but rather that these belong into their own group for me, isolated from the normal weapons. Not that special effects on their own are a problem, but they go away entirely from how the rest of the weapons are played. Take for example a challenge where you test all weapons how well they protect you if you can't move but had infinite pickup range, and then you get to Laurel and it just recharges the shield faster than it gets lost, meaning you are invulnerable. It's still following the rules of the challenge, but it makes it incomparable to other weapons.

I think you'd do even better with crimson shroud, considering that its damage scales with might, curse, and armor. You just need enough area to fill the screen and enough amount that the shroud's charges refresh before the enemies can reach you again. If you have minimum cooldown, you can just walk down to reach the enemies quicker and rack up kills, too (since the explosion is biased upwards). If you are working with Trouser or Divano and a single weapon, it can be difficult to evolve as the minute bosses get pushed away from you by the normal enemies. Using Gains helps a lot in the early stages as Heaven Sword will make quick work of the minute bosses and help you kill the Atlanteans, but then HS starts stealing limit breaks from CS. However, Gains' growth scaling means that CS will still probably level up faster than with other characters and, after the weapon areas have progressed to the point that HS spends most of its time offscreen, CS starts doing most of the damage. You'll just want to focus your arcanas on CS and avoid the one that makes HS bounce.

Dex, I noticed Paranormal Scan stopped levelling at weapon lv 368 at 15:41 , when the mega level up happened. It stopped levelling during it because the instant stat growths that happen when it levels stopped happening. Is that intended design, or did it bug out?

22:22 i already did that with a slightly different setup... Gorgeous Moon, Infinite Corridor and Sole Solution combined was sooo goddamn good, i didn't even need Paranormal Scan and the final Damage Count was INSANE!

Pretty sure that was one of the Reaper Kill videos that lasted for several hours, and I also believe at a time before they got nerfed hard (they used to get +1 damage per chicken, now it goes quickly down to +0.05 per chicken)

Have you tried out the insane levels you can get with Sammy using Wicked Season and Disco? A minute into the run is long enough to collect enough EXP to backlog levels for the next 29 minutes. It's absolutely wild. You can probably use this to reach some absolutely monstrous limit break numbers, since it is basically the highest level possible. The only problem is that you can't collect chests/map items because they get backlogged by your levels into next month by the time you reach them.

I know the discussion around Boogaloo is kind of a meme at this point, but it really seems like (in these kinds of runs at least) that Paranormal Scan renders it pretty obsolete *most* of the time. Maybe there's weapons where it would make a difference, but Scan just gives so much area on its own so fast Boogaloo hardly seems to have an impact.

The one thing you could try is other maps maybe. You don't need the early evolution so maybe there is an even better map for the limit breaking of this one.

@@bullblood_fan17 nope, 1 arcana start, 1 arcana from inverse trousers shop and then 1 at 11 mins and the last potential one at 21 mins. Same on all 30 mins maps. This map does have empty tome, attractorb, crown and torrona though And it also has an arcana box but there are other maps with an arcana box available so it might be an idea to try them too.

@@thibaud1330 In Abyss foscari you cam get the third arcana sooner and the last one at 11 minutes because there is an arcana chest in the stage, and closer to the starting area than in other maps

@@bullblood_fan17 yeah, but in other maps you might be able to get better mob density, therefore a higher level, more hits and in the end more damage in total... Can't say for sure without testing

internally in graphics API's you can sample textures with either bilinear interpolation, or nearest neighbor, the weapon going blurry is probably caused by switching the sampling method to bilinear for the weapon texture...I wonder how that ends up happening.

Its already fixed, I talked with Dex about it. And yes " In order to enable texture editing, I need to create a copy of the texture. Most likely, I didn't copy the filtering mode, and it was set to Bilinear instead of Point. I've just fixed this in version 1.3.2."

Put a towel under the microphone stand or the keyboard. Not as comfortable depending on the setup, but still works great. Or just get a simple small ikea table on the wheels of the needed height (idk proper name). I always prefer such homemade solutions over noise removal software, due to its weird quirks.

@@DexTag multiplying the damage output per hit, times the amount of times per second you hit them, times the seconds elapsed after the 30 minute mark. So the same regard for infinite corridor and gorgeous moon you're discarding (because that damage comes from hurting the reaper) is happening when you're waiting till you finish leveling up hanging with the reaper.

It hurts it, because the reaper is a singular enemy. Min 28 and 29 were the biggest contributor to the dps i think. I don't remember exactly how much hp those guys had, 30 million i believe? And about 500 of them died every second...

I wish they would be infinite mode with reapers. LIke the stage repeats but reapers spawn infinitely too. NOt the white one though, can you even kill the white reapers?

White reaper is strictly invincible and untargetable. It's just simply a delayed certain death meant to give pick ups some time to process.
