Sawblaze vs Minotaur in WCVII is definitely one of the best fights in the history of Battlebots. Minotaur was cooked, but still gave Sawblaze a run for their money

Minotaur with its size, it is really a great bot and the driver's skill is superb. When i first see Huge, i thought its wheel will be tear off in seconds. The design is really original, unique and creative.

huge used to be a troll-bot without a weapon, but they been upgrading a lot. i think i've seen huge being ripped into pieces only once. think it was carbide?

Huge reminds me of the UK Robotwars bot Gabriel. that starte a bit of a joke but we lost robot wars too early so it didn't get the chance to fully develop in the way Huge has.

Sawblaze upgrading from a Saw to Hammer-Saw has to be one of the biggest upgrades in BB history. It went from a weapon that did negligible damage to absolutely reck bots in 1-hit.

i think that title goes to huge, because it was a troll-bot that turned into one of the hardest to defeat bots. they literally made some nonsense, but then they realized that those wheels are actually really durable and then they started upgrading and turned it into top-tier bot. while Jamison in other hand, has always been very competitive builder and driver. he has won many different series before, including NHRL. he uses common sense to adjust and upgrade as needed.

@@volante56 people hate on Huge for the robot people hate on riptide for the team and mainly its captain. one gets hate for the design (and its unorthodox effectiveness) and the other gets hate for cockyness. i like huge and do not agree with hate for an effective design. But i dont have an issue with disliking someone cocky and unsportmanlike

They all have a gentlman agreement not to do undue damage if the other bot is immobilized, otherwise the costs involved would be astronomical. People weren't happy with the driver of Riptide for breaking that against Captain Shredderator and causing thousands of dollars of excess damages.

@@darrenquarterman2611 Some of the big sponsors don't even give the teams money, they just get discounts off the parts for the robots. There's not as much money in robot combat as you might imagine.

I'd like to think that it wasn't just the loss of HUGE's weapon motors that influenced the judges, but also the fact that HUGE also lost mobility on one side closer to the end of that match. Losing mobility is pretty significant.

Calling Sawblaze underdog is a big stretch... It's one of the most powerful bots in the sport for years now and everybody knows Jamison Go is one of the best in the entire field. (also calling Monsoon "Mondoon" is a funny mistake in the edit).

HUGE is freaking awesome. That was a match that needed to continue until a clear winner. They seemed to lose weapon power compared to the early stages though.

Huge only did superficial damage in the first 30 seconds then got manhandled for the rest of the match. I laughed thinking the commentators were joking when they said huge won in terms of attack haha

@@Avendrial69 Huge had one motor belt for the weapon at the end (you can see it on the close up shots) and two belts were taken out early on. No way that weapon was spinning full speed and doing anything more than superficial damage.

razer from the old robot wars was great, and it looked fantastic but dont forget that goofy looking pussycat bot beat it twice. I would hate to see razer get shattered across a battlebox by todays modern generation of spinners though

I dont wanna be a killjoy here But i think Sawblaze got lucky in Season 7 because Witch Doctor and End Game got eliminated early Those 2 vertical bots are the Kryptonite of Sawblaze

Huge beat both Witch Doctor and the bot that beat Endgame. Both failed to adapt to bits that countered them while SawBlaze was the only bot the entire season able to do any damage to Huge. Yes Endgame beat SawBlaze in the golden bolt tournament but neither bit took any substantial damage in that battle and just poked at eachother the whole time. A pathetic fight if you ask me. SawBlaze was the only bot this season capable of beating the genius design of Huge, imo a very well deserved win.

Notice the driving skills and how they held back their main weapon. Going head to head with their own weapon against huge at full power would have cost them. And the derailers did their job.

I think the hit from sawblade to huge at 18:42 actually disabled one of huge's wheels. While it remained free spinning, I didnt see huge put any motion into that wheel after that that wasnt from external sources.
