Not only in Spain I am from Kolkata (India) who enjoyed the whole night after the full time whistle. It was somewhere around 2.30 am in my country and I was cheering like crazy. Actually it's pretty hard to pick a winner at this stage. There are a few teams who have played outstandingly well and made their places to the last 32 knocking out some of the big daddies. According to their respective forms and bench strengths I have listed a top 5 teams. Spain, Brazil, France, Germany, Belgium. Although it's very early to predict.

In fact it was a huge issue when Spain lost their first match

@@avladi Don't make me laugh. I'm a Chelsea fan so I'm not biased saying that Casillas was the best player on the team. The amount of times he saved Spain from going out because of careless mistakes is uncountable. And in the final as well when Robben slipped through once and again later when Casillas had to come off his line to stop him. Casillas is and always will be in Spain's heart as the best player at the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

I am Mexican and I feel the same way Spanish fans felt. Never being able to get to the semi finals it's similar except Spain has/had better players. I love the idea of Spain's game and they won the world cup. Mexico is the only country in the world besides Brazil and Germany to make it to the last 16 every world cup which says things, despite this we can't get to the 5th game. We never really had the talent Spain had. I'd say Rafael Marquez part of Barcelona's best ever squad that won 6 titles in 1 year and many more wirh Xavi Iniesta Messi Puyol etc the only thing that kept him from being better was constant injury. Hugo Sanchez which enter all-time XI of both Atlético Madrid and Real Madrid. He won 5 Pichichi in a row and and 5 consecutive La Liga the UEFA cup etc. He is within Madrid top scorers and scored countless overhead kicks. This doesn't matter if he couldn't deliver for Mexico. I hope one day Mexico can achieve what Spain had and go in with the same mentality.

The reason why Spain lost in Russia with Tiki Taka is because the Spain squad is mostly of Real Madrid players nowadays and Real Madrid can't play that style, plus it shows who the better team really is and that is Barcelona because Spain won World Cup 2010 and Euro Cup 2012 with almost a full squad of Barcelona players.
