I recently chopped off my hair and your videos have been a godsend! I had no idea where to start with hairstyles for short hair, and all of your tutorials & hair hacks have been so helpful and easy to follow, though I definitely need a lot of practice with braids. Keep up the good work, and keep up the cheesy jokes, I look forward to your next video!

Can also add some cocoa powder to the corn starch for darker hair. Using a make up brush, like a blush brush, can be easier to apply it too. Thanks for all the ideas! I don't think I went all the way to the scalp when I tried the metal comb to get rid of my static (nothing like living in a desert climate) so I will have to try that. Thanks again

I'm not certain if this will apply to anyone watching these videos (which have changed my life, thank you +Milabu) but better to share than not, right? For anyone planning on going bald or buzzcut-short, remember to brush your hair! I know, seems futile to brush hair when it isn't there but it helps you manage the direction in which your hair will grow out. Your head is in contact with more surfaces than you think, encouraging the strands to grow along the paths of least resistance to the thing it is in contact with the most, and also makes styling hair harder. When I first went bald, the hair that grew back drove me nuts, never really sitting the way I wanted it to, with lots of places falling flat and other places sticking up. Eventually I noticed the issue, and the next time I went bald I diligently brushed my scalp after every shower, whenever I went out, and before bed before wearing a headscarf or beanie, just to do my best to mitigate undesirable growth directions. Even when I only had the light fuzz for the first few weeks I could see the difference it made, and now that my hair is back to a bob-like length, it's much easier to handle than the first time.

whenever i see the bobby pin thing i always wonder how so many people always did it the wrong way. ever since i was a young kid i knew the ridges/wavy part faces the scalp with the flat side facing outwards. it just makes sense because of grip (like why a lot of tennis shoes or winter boots or nonslip shoes in general and everyday tires aren't smooth)
@toughywoughy8 жыл бұрын
kyeoptawerk93 I thought I was so silly for doing it wrong, but then I noticed that pins I have with pattern or decoration, the deco is on the wavy side, making me think that side faces out. I blame Bobby pin companies for printing on the "wrong" side!

Awesome tips my friend! 👌 washing your hair with cold water also helps with hair frizz/static, especially where there is hot/humid weather bc if you wash your hair with hot water then go into the blazing sun/heat, your hair is so dry that it causes it to frizz up. Another thing I found that helps with frizz after you comb/brush it is that before touching it, apply some lotion to your hands (don't lather your hands though) just put a normal amount, get in between your fingers then lightly run your fingers through your hair.The lotion helps to tame the frizz.
@Milabuco8 жыл бұрын
Yay - so glad you like them! Yes, that really does help as well with static and frizz. Never tried the lotion. What kind of lotion do you use - hand?

You. Are. Darling! Love your videos. So thorough. So helpful and practical. Your simple, sweet, and happy approach is so refreshing. I found you recently after I cut my hair shoulder length and was looking for tips. I'm giving lots of your ideas a try. Got a question for ya. I have this annoying issue. My hair is super oily. By the middle of day 2 after shampooing I am greasy, itchy, and can't wait to shower. (I even notice a slightly oily appearance by the end of day one) My hairdresser says it's because my hair is so darn healthy, as I don't color it, rarely curl it, and even less often use a hair dryer. (Yes, I'm a super busy mom). I've tried the dry shampoo but it almost turns to paste. It doesn't conceal or absorb. Any other tips ya got? Do you know of any shampoos out there that are for normal to oily hair? It's all for dry, treated, and otherwise, hair types these days, which add really undesirable affects to my hair. I'd appreciate any thoughts you might have. Crummy in California.
