@@DIYfoodplotpro thank you very much Wes. Your information has me started in the right direction. I also subscribed to your channel. You are very thorough in explaining what to do. I hope to get my seed in the ground very quickly. I have a little work to do until then, but your information has been invaluable. I like your straightforward explanation of when and what to do. It has been a real joy watching your videos. Thank you very much.

Where's that kale at, Wes? I'm trialing about 4 acres of kale this year mixed with crimson and radish.

I didn’t put any in this year….but we ended up not getting any rain ought of that spell, so I may end up replanting all of these plots!

Great information Wes! I'll be planting a 1/4 acre in my cornfield today that the corn didn't do anything. Get some rest, you sound rough! Take care and thanks.

Thanks Wes, I hope you got your rain. I’m not sure I got enough, I planted Wednesday and the rain has been very spotty, maybe planting again real soon.

This plot might have gotten enough, believe it got right at 1/2” but most of my plots got zero. Gonna be similar to last year it looks like….tough to get fall plots going.

When I was a kid, we lived in a rural area. The neighbor had a few cows. She grew corn every year. She had a shredder that chopped up the stocks and ears. She would cut the stocks and stack them. This would keep the corn well into winter. The cows loved the shredded stacks and corn. So I don’t see why deer wouldn’t eat it also

Good point! Deer definitely love it where I’m at. Thanks for watching and good luck with the plots

I like it. Good solid plan. Nice looking bean plot can't believe they don't destroy that.
@DIYfoodplotpro4 ай бұрын
@@tripleh8979 thank you sir! They do eat soybeans pretty hard but they have really taken a major liking to corn the last 4-5 years. That hit the soybeans early then seem to switch to corn until it starts drying down, then switch back to soybeans. Thanks for watching

Wes....great plan. I believe you need to plant ANY bare spots with ANYTHING, otherwise it is a completely wasted area. We generally double plant soybeans by broadcasting radishes in when the leaves brown out. All of our food plots other than beans and corn are planted as mixed blends. And yes the deer eat all parts of the corn, we just don't notice it visually as much as the beans. Thanks as always for sharing.....Bob

Thanks Bob! Completely agree, no sense in wasting a big area when we could be feeding whitetails! Thanks for watching

My goodness look at that browse line on the edge of your woods! Looks like you have way to many deer for the carrying capacity of your woods. No wonder they are eating so much corn,there isn't enough natural food to feed as many deer as it looks like you have! How many deer are there in your area per sg mile?
@DIYfoodplotpro4 ай бұрын
Yeah when I say In my videos we are in extreme high deer density areas I mean it….very very challenging to get ahead of them.

Jay thanks for the advice. When I’m on KZbin or any other information based website, I’m constantly looking for information from someone who legit knows the subject matter like the back of their hand. So the reason I have started sharing about my background, is I want folks to know that they can believe what I’m saying and that my background proves that. I’m certainly not trying to brag, we are all specialists in something, food plotting and farming just happen to be mine. Thanks for watching and good luck with the plots
