Wow never knew how easy changing plugs were on this car. This is the easiest I've seen it on any car.

Really appreciate this video! I was also getting P0300 on my 2015 Buick Encore with ~62,000 miles. It started acting up all of a sudden when I tried to pass another car. The car was very rough at idle and you could feel a misfire, it would not accelerate very quickly and was just.. jerky. Almost felt like the transmission was slipping, except the RPMs would drop. OBDII scanner showed P0300 and also my traction control turned off, and I was getting misfires in cylinder 1 (lots) and 3 (just a few) and could feel the car jerk with each one. I picked up new spark plugs and a coil pack rail. The plugs were $9/each and the coil pack was like $170 - all were available at my local auto parts store. Total time was less than 30 minutes to replace everything - the only trouble I had was with the coil connector. Press really hard on the back of the pink connector when it's pulled out, and then it'll slide off. Pretty much only need a T30 torx bit, 5/8" socket, and torque wrench for the plugs. Thanks for the video, and good luck to anyone else getting the error. :)

Looks like more than 18 ft lbs your pulling there. Is your torque wrench correctly calibrated? Seemed like you were pulling pretty hard.

The best video. Tell though please, what if the plugs where so rusty it left a little debris in the plug "well" AFTER removing the plug? how on earth would you get the crumbs out without it falling down the hole?

Shop vac or blow it out with compressed air before you remove your plugs is best

Can you tell me do I need to replace the coil pack as well? Sorry maybe a dumb question to you but i have to do this myself and im not sure. My car is hesitating and is idling roughly . No check engine lights just want to take care of it prior to any other repairs or problems. Starting with the cheapest and up lol

Yes I would replace coil pack and spark plugs at same time … these cars are common for spark plugs and coil pack going bad at lower mileage

@@gus5101 spark plugs are installed at the factory dry, without lubrication or anti-seize. Anti-seize can act as a lubricant, altering torque values up to 20 percent, increasing the risk of spark plug thread breakage and/or metal shell stretch. ... Do not use anti-seize or lubricant on spark plugs.

you should not put spark plugs back with the socket, instead use a fuel line to attach to spark plug, place plug back in and 'feel' the spark plug turn and not cross thread until firmly in place with that method......THEN use the socket for tightening. socket feel may not warn you in time that you are cross threading.
