I revisited this video this week after tracking in Mocha failed for me, and was working under the gun with a deadline. It worked brilliantly. Justin thank you also for the little tip of clicking on the track point field to reveal the track points when you go back to attach more objects. That drove me crazy until you pointed that out!

I actually get the entire CC suite with all the apps for about 20 bucks a month at the moment on student discount. I think its worth it, check the link in the video description to see all the packages available.

***** I'm actually looking at it right now. There's 4 options, the first one is $9.99 but it says photography on top so meaning you can do video editing on it? 2nd one is the $20 Single App, for this one I am able to use the video editing for it? The 3rd option is the "All Apps" for $50. So which option is the cheapest one that I can actually use to edit video. I have the premiere cc already but I need the after affect cause or this special effect you just did. It comes very handy when I do my tech reviews

If you're going to use the apps often then its better to pay the $50/month subscription to access all of their applications. If you're a student you can access all applications for around $20-$30/month with a student discount but if you're not a student then I would just go with the $50/month. It seems like a lot of money at first but I started using After effects and premiere pro and those 2 applications themselves offer so much more than $50/month and I still have access to all the other applications as well:) Hope this helped.

EdVentures I already have the premiere cc already. I don't use mobile app to do my editing mostly my laptop. so my question is what is the difference between the $9 vs the $20? are both options have video editing? or just the $20. also when you claim your a student do you have to show them that you are really a student or I can just say I am?

The $9/month is for lightroom or photoshop which are applications for editing photos only. The $20/month per application are the other applications like Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, illustrator etc.. I think in order to get the student ID you need to prove you are.. so you'll sign in with your student ID and what not.

Any way to make it smother? I have a 0.93 average pixel error but I'm not satisfied with that. My text is not sticked good enough at the same place (it move a little bit but it's noticeable). How can I improve that? (for details, I'm putting a text on the top of a building with a litle space between the roof and the text. And this space change a little bit which is why it's noticeable) I chose a single point to attach my text btw.

Hi, My after effects crashes every time I try to do the 3d text on 3d camera tracking? I'm a new user and can't really use the after effects as it crashes any time I try to do something? I'M USING A Sony VAIO Laptop SVF1521G2EB with 12GB RAM upgrade 500Hard Disk HDD, Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU2117U @ 1.80GHz, 1800MHz, 2 Core(s) 2 Logical Processor. I have set the after effects RAM use for optimal use copy from KZbin and all but nothing is working, I can only go up to the tracking points as soon as I right click for text edit it freezes and few seconds later it crashes down with a pop up window like a crash report to send to after effects? can it be the graphic cards or is there something I am missing?

+Faraad Haashim each program has is different capabilities. Premiere pro is for sequencing and editing, and after effects is for special effect compositing. So you can edit the whole video in premiere and then take certain parts into after effects for some special motion graphics it is capable of.

After analyze I can see the track points but when I click with the mouse around them there is no circle, also if I right click I don t get the options panel to create camera and text. :( Also, the track points are visible only after I check the option: Render track points.

I tried with different types of videoclips to do this. Some of clips dont work at all and i get error that analyzing failed. Some of the clips works and the analyzing is completed but however, i dont see any tracking points. I did exactly like in this tutorial but nothing works. Tracking points just dont appear to my video. Tried different settings as well. Im using AE CC 2017, does anyone know whats the problem here?

Had the same problem, ended up sliding the track point size back and forth and lowered my Composition panel resolution and they appeared.
