Great tips man. For the torch though, there are much better options such as a heat gun from like a hot air rework soldering station. They make great inexpensive ones for around $40 that have temp and fan control that range from like 200-500 degrees Celsius.

when i use my wood burning tool to smooth my prints, my print is getting brown. In your tutorial for smoothing you say that i need to use stainless steel tips. But i cant find them in a store. Do you know where i can buy them?
@PotentPrintables4 жыл бұрын
For the specific wood burning tool that I have, I made the stainless steel tips myself. I made them from stainless steel screws and used a grinding wheel.

Whenever I do point to point filling, my lines always drop, can u help?
@PotentPrintables4 жыл бұрын
Some things to try: - Release the extrude button about half way to the endpoint. The filament will stretch a little but this makes it so it does not droop. - Try moving your hand quicker to the endpoint - For point to point, the smaller the distance the better. If you need to do a long distance, try using a pencil or other solid object to support the line you are making at the half way point. Mix an match the above and practice helps a lot.

Does the filament adhere to any surface?
@PotentPrintables4 жыл бұрын
Good question. No, it does not. It sticks better to the following things: - The same type of plastic (PLA sticks well to PLA or ABS to ABS) - Textured surfaces (blue painters tape) - Surfaces it can melt (wax paper)
